I really want macaroons right now 🧍🏻♀️
Bàba=Dad
Gēge=Big Brother
The trio touched down upon the golden sands of Flower Fruit Mountain, with MK catching Ming as she hopped out of the Cloud Jet, before they made their way up the mountain at a quick pace, thanks to the male simian using the shadow powers he inherited from Macaque. Mei gasped at the beauty of the waterfall before her, immediately whipping out her phone to take multiple pictures, the monkey siblings fondly laughing at their friend's/sister's behavior.
A small white monkey ran up to the two, tugging on MK's pant leg with a worried squeak, the boy kneeling down, "What's wrong?"
Within a few chirps, the calm smile was replaced by a frown, alongside the boy pulling out his staff, looking around for the threat he'd been informed about. Apparently, one of Spider Queen's henchmen was on the island, it being Huntsman this time. And now that MK was searching, he realized that his nose was picking up an unfamiliar scent...one that smelled of musty caves and sewers.
Gross.
"Mei," The male spoke up, his serious tone causing the sword user to stop her mountain monkey photoshoot, and turn to her friend/brother in concern. "We've got company."
In a flash, the Dragon Blade had been whipped out, "Where?"
"The monkeys say they lost track of him, but he's close by, since the scent is still pretty strong," MK explained, the two now back to back, with Ming sitting on top of her brother's shoulders. "You mind keeping an eye out for him while I open the falls?"
"You got it," The female nodded, standing in a defensive position, as her friend let them both through. She only let her guard down when the the water had completely covered the cave entrance once again, turning around to join the other two, stowing away her blade. "Why do you think he's here?"
"Probably to grab something," MK hummed, now deep in thought, as they made their way to Wukong's treasure room. "What, I don't know..."
"I guess we've got two things to do know," Bai Long Ma's descendant huffed. "Get that vase, and keep that spider out!"
Nodding in agreement as they came upon the massive double doors, MK once again opening them as Mei kept an ear out, walking in and closing the doors. Along the walls, torches set alight, illuminating the massive room they were in. The male setting his sister down, who gave a happy chirp and began to run off, with the other two looking around in awe.
"Stay where we can see you!" The staff user called out, sighing in relief when Ming popped up in his field of vision, giving a happy 'okay!~' as a response.
"This place is huge!" The female racer grumbled, picking up random items and inspecting them, before carefully setting them down once again. You never know what'll happen with unknown ancient artifacts. "How're we gonna' find that vase in all of this?!"
"Golden Vision," MK smirked, his eyes lighting up like searchlights, scanning the room for the object in question.
"Oh riggght!~" Mei hummed, continuing her search, occasionally glancing back at Ming to make sure the youngest was still safe and sound. "I always forget about that one for some reason."
"Makes sense, it's not often mentioned in the story, and I don't really use it a lot..." The 15-year-old male shrugged, opening a box with a few vases inside, frowning when he didn't find the one Tang had described. "How many magic vases are in this hoard anyways?!"
