Seperation of the rings

"Noodle Boy!!" Screeching in fear at the sudden entrance and nearly dropping the order in his paws, MK scrambled to catch the noodles, horror painting his face before it changed to relief as his boyfriend caught it. "Apologies MK, but! I managed to find a way to help Golden Eyes with the burden of the Samadhi Fire!"

"Huh?" Blinking, it took the monkey a moment to register what the bull had said, before his brown eyes widened in shock. "Wait, what?!"

"Is your hearing off? I just said--"

"I know what you said," Waving his paws slightly to stop the fire user, the golden prince placed down the order and an exasperated look appeared on his face. "I'm just confused...worried? Uh, I honestly don't know what I'm feeling, after you've suddenly burst into the shop declaring you can help Ming out with the fire. I mean, aren't the rings attached to her soul?"

"Only one is," Taking out a paper from his jacket pocket, the redhead put it down on the kitchen counter, showing quite a bit of old spell cast writing, and several drawings of the rings, and both Ming and Red Son. "The other three aren't...which is why it's my idea to split it between the two of us. That way, she won't have to worry as much about her emotional outbursts."

"Are you sure you're okay with that? I mean, the fire's kinda' a big deal," Fear was evident in MK's chocolate eyes, as his tail gently wrapped around Red Son's, the bull softening up as well.

"Don't worry about me Xiǎotiān," Running a thumb over his partner's cheek in a soothing motion, the two demon's foreheads connected. "I'm a strong demon, I can handle a bit of fire~"

"Alright, I trust you," Sighing, the pair shared a quick kiss, before MK was quick to grab his order and rush out to hand over the food, yelping as he felt a light smack to his butt. "RED!!"

But the fire demon was already gone.

"No," Was Monkey King's flat response, though his eyes said everything, the guilt and fear shining brightly in them.

"Ehh?!"  MK, Red Son and Mei--who'd they'd also informed of the plan--all gaped in shock at his response, thinking that Wukong would be eager to help his daughter. "Why not?!"

"Because it's not safe!" The mountain monarch snapped, tail flicking in irritation, as his golden eyes narrowed. "You haven't even completely guaranteed that Ming will be safe! So no, I'm not going to allow this!"

"Monkey King, the worst that would happen, would be that--"

"I don't want to hear it Red Son!" A snarl ripped through the immortal's throat, as red flashed into his eyes, making the bull teen flinch in fear, watching nervously as the king pulled back and the red returned to gold. "Now, I think you've overstayed your welcome today, please leave."

"Pa/Paps," The dragon and monkey tried to step up for their friend/partner, only to quickly shut their mouths when they also got a warning look.

"Wukong," Macaque's voice sounded from down the hall, as the shadow and his sleepy daughter--who'd just finished taking a nap--walked out from the two kings' room, a sad look on the old warrior's face, as he walked over and handed the youngest to MK, who took her gently in his arms, watching on as the husbands held paws. "I know that you still feel guilty for what happened, but, you need to trust your kids and Red Son. You need to trust that they know what they're doing."

"But--"

"This is a chance to let our daughter express herself more...a chance to lift a burden off of her shoulders," Soothingly running his hands up and down the other's arms, as the kids walked outside to let them have space. "This is also a chance to let you heal...as well as myself."

"I'm scared..."

"I know," Cupping the ginger's face in his paws, Macaque placed a gentle kiss on the sun's forehead, before pulling back and making soft eye contact with his equal and opposite. "I am too, but you need to trust them...for me? For Ming?"

Sighing sadly, Monkey King leaned into his partner's hold, and nodded, "Al...alright.....I'll trust you....trust them...."

"This is a very risky plan," Nezha frowned as he studied the spell--the group having all flown in the airship to the old Ritual Site, to perform the splitting of the rings--the young deity giving them all a weary glance. "Are you certain, that you wish to risk it?"

"Not really," Wukong gave a nervous chuckle, as Red Son and Ming sat across from each other in the center of the cracked area, joining hands, whilst Wukong, Macaque and Nezha all got into the old sealing positions. "But...I'm trusting the kids."

Iron Fan and DBK--who were there to cover their son and ensure the other's safety--held hands and squeeze gently, flashes of memories from their first time her, leaving a sour taste in their mouth.

"Ready?" The old general called out to the two fire users, both child and teen nodding, and closing their eyes, allowing the warm magic flow between their connection. "Alright, Nezha, Wukong."

Holding out their hands, each immortal began their part of the enchantment, as the others watched on as the rings revealed themselves, three floating around the young princess, and one staying securely connected to her soul. Each one lit up in turn, the--now turquoise--flames surrounding both youths.

Continuing to chant, each individual present gaped as two of the rings began to glitch in between the monkey cub and bull teen, struggling to choose a host for a moment, before ultimately switching to the redhead, and changing from turquoise to maroon, a huge wave of magic blasting out as the golden objects settled with their new user.

Once the trio of spellcasters were sure that nothing had gone wrong, they stopped chanting, the rings disappearing as they did, and the flames snuffing themselves out, Mei and MK rushing forwards first to tackle both fire users into a hug.

"Get off me!" Red Son screeched, hair bursting into maroon flames, making both dragon and monkey yelp and scramble back, as Ming giggled in amusement.

"You're so mean!" The menace duo whined, sitting across from the bull boy, pouts on their faces. "You won't even let your boyfriend/friend hug you!"

"I literally just finished a ritual involving half of an incredibly unstable magical fire being transferred from your sister to myself you nitwits!" Wacking both upside the head, he continued to lecture them as his parents simply sighed in relief and chuckled at the scene, Nezha shaking his head as both kings joined him, watching on as the chaos unfolded.
