"We'll go hunting."
Napataas ang kilay ko sa narinig. Nilunok ko ang patatas na nginguya at uminom ng tubig.
"Hunting?" Shewi curiously uttered, "Anong hu-huntingin niyo at sinong kasama niyo?"
Tumuon ang tingin ko kay Andrei. He's wearing this keen face that gives me pause. Umiwas ako ng tingin nang maramdaman ang malalim na titig ng katabi nito na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko parin magawang kausapin maski tignan.
I feel like he doesn't deserve me anymore.
"Tao." Andrei answered,
Lana, Shewi, and Fuji's eyes were opened widely by what Andrei just said. Napairap nalang ako sa paulit ulit na scene na ito at ipinagpatuloy na ang pagkain.
"Tao?!"
"What the fuck?"
"Just kidding. Bobo ba kayo?" Andrei said flatly,
Umismid ako at napailing.
"They'll be with us, no worries. We'll go out to hunt for some wild animals. Mukhang interesado sila nang makita ang mga display dito na gamit pang-hunting." Nicolas explained,
Parang gusto kong tumutol bigla.
"Wild animals? Meron dito non? Nasa jungle ba ang lugar na 'to?" bulong ng katabi kong si Fuji,
"Some wild animals? Are you guys nuts? Paano kung mapahamak kayo? Oh no wait-- mapapahamak talaga kayo!"
Tumango ako sa isinaad ni Lana. Ngayon ko lang nagustuhan ang mga sinasabi niya.
"C'mon baby! We're adults, alam namin ang ginagawa namin. And we have Nicolas here who's really an expert in that field. We just wanted to try! Live life to the fullest right?"
"Tignan natin kung may ili'live ka pa dyan to the fullest sa mga desisyon mo sa buhay."
I silently shook my head at the conversation.
Sinunod sunod ko ang pagsubo sa mga dahon at hindi na inalintana pang magbigay ng komento sa plano nila. Aside from I'm still feeling drained, emotionally and mentally, ay wala rin namang silbi ang sasabihin ko dahil gagawin at gagawin parin nila ang gusto nila.
I even thought it was fun, hunting, but not until the last minute did I know they were with that Nicolas guy.
"Walang mangyayaring masama. Hindi rin naman sila lalayo just to find one, they can't across the gutter 'cause it's not my land anymore."
Isa pa ito.
"You're not coming with them?" Lana asked, with her sweetly seductive voice.
"No, Ms. Lopez." I can even see his smirk, tss
I was busy drinking all the remaining water when the silence suddenly filled the four corners of the room. Napasulyap tuloy ako sa mga kasama. Muntik ko nang maibuga ang iniinom nang makitang nakatingin silang lahat sa akin.
I put the glass down and arched my eyebrow. "What?"
"You want to come, Iscy?" Andrei smirked,
Tinatarayan ako ng dalawang babae habang ngiting ngiti naman sa akin si Marcus. He even motioned something that encouraging me to say yes. Kinurot ito ni Lana upang manahimik.
"No-"
"I don't think she can do those kinds of stuff." Nicolas smiled,
I bit my tongue and looked down. "That sort of thing does not really appeal to me. I'd rather sleep all day."
