Chapter 15 - Gate Crashing

It took Martin ages to find an available parking spot but thankfully, he finally found one.

After he parked and turned off the engine, he turned to Bong Bong,

"Ready ka na, insan?"

Bong Bong put on Martin's cap and hoodie. He also got his facemask on. He looked at himself through the car's mirror and said,

"Di ba ako mukhang may masamang balak sa suot ko?"

Martin laughed.

"Just don't act suspicious. Tsaka gabi nanaman. Hindi na tayo masyado mapapansin."

They eventually got out of the car and started to walk towards the pink crowd.

Bong Bong talked to Martin, lowering his voice.

"Sure ka ba dito? I know there are some people here who hate me to the core..."

"Stop worrying, insan. Sure, they don't like you pero hindi ka naman siguro masasaksak dito if they discover you... I think."

"That's very comforting to hear."

"You're welcome, future mr. prez."

Soon, the two of them have reached the crowd. Bong Bong stayed close behind Martin as he tried to squeeze through the people in order to get closer to the stage.

Eventually, they stopped as they finally got a good vantage point. A performer was already singing:

Martin wasted no time as he started waving his hands and singing along with the crowd,

"NAA-THING'S GONNAA STOP US NOWW!!!"

Bong Bong just chuckled, amused by his cousin as he thought to himself,

He's completely gone crazy.

Backstage, Leni was busy preparing for her speech while the performances were ongoing.

Compared to yesterday, she's now a little bit better and prepared to face the crowd. She was reviewing her talking points when someone tapped her shoulder.

She turned around and found out that it was Bam. He said,

"Hi, VP."

Instead of being scared of him like before, seeing him just made Leni feel angry. She replied,

"I think you mean Vice President."

Bam waved his hand dismissively, sounding bored.

"Who cares? It's the same thing."

Leni glared at him.

"Hindi pa ba kita nasasabihan to stay away from me? Pangalwang beses na 'to. One more and I'll tell Risa."
