Chapter 2: still hiding

Ugh there goes another person I say. Angelina looks at me and smiles. we only had 5 more people and the other team had two. we had all girls and they were both boys. I power throw the ball and hit one of the boys on the leg "your OUT" I scream. Angelina turns back to me and smiles you know if you actually put on some make up and decent clothes you'd be really pretty she says. I smile back and pretend that didn't hurt.
There was one person left on the other team and now it was just me and Angelina. Kyle ( the last person on the other team) he threw the ball and it hit Angelina in the arm. good luck she says and goes to the side. it was just. Me and Kyle now. Kyle throw the ball but I dodge it. about ten minutes later he has all the balls and he throw two balls at me at the same time but he misses. he has one ball left on his side and he throws it has hard as he can and hits me in the stomach but I made a that means u caught it. "YOUR OUT" I scream he slowly walks back to his team get it threw his head that he was beaten by a girl. Angelina, Jennifer, and Bella walk up to me and that all give me a sweet smile. You should be on the soft all team with us Jennifer says I looked at them and smiled yeah I'll try out I said and giggled weirdly. Angelina laughed and told me try out we're on Friday and she told me to come to her house on Thursday which was tomorrow. the rest of the school day went by fast. I walked home and said hi to my mom when I got home and ran up to my room. I took out my phone that I stupidly forgot at home and turned it on. I had 8 text. I went to my texting and looked at the number it was Scarlett! Scarlett was a girl at my old school and we were really close. I texted back hi and read the message she sent me

Me- I do to I can't believe I have to wait intill Sunday to meet up with u ugh killing myself rn😂😭💩
Scarlett- don't hate yourself it's not your fault you got caught it was Jason's fault ok your not a bad person u were just caught at a bad time❤️
Me- r u sure I'm not bad 😏
Scarlett- sure as I'll ever be. gtg ok text u later babe bye

I remember Angelina asking me to go to her house on Sunday....... well I guess I'll have to reschedule.

I woke up this morning and my hair looked like a reck so I just brushed ( which didn't help!) and put it in a ponytail. I didn't try to look as good as yesterday I just put on a pair of black jeans and a pink saggy shirt that said "shut up." when I go on the bus everyone looked at me and laughed. I could hear some people saying I looked worse than crap and they were right. I got zero sleep last night and i felt like shit. my flip flops were bothering me so I took them off. when the bus starts we jerk forward and my flip flops go flying. it's just my lucky day i scream at myself. how could one person be so stupid. I'm on the floor looking for my shoes bare foot everyone looking at me. finally when I got to the front of the bus I saw someone holding flip flops. I quickly take them and put them back on now cold feet.
Today was Thursday and I didn't have gym which was a let down. I was walking to math when I saw Angelina in the hallway walking with Bella. hey I said smiling widely trying to look happy. hi Angelina says and hugs me. are you still coming to softball try outs she asks and giggles and so does Bella. yeah I say but I also have bad news I can't come Sunday. the smile on Angelina's face is gone. why not she says frowning. I quickly come up with an excuse. my mom needs help taking care of......... the basement and I promised I'd help her baca use we haven't really been so close. Angelina looked at me and smiled again no wing that I was bailing on her for a good reason. ok then we can reschedule for next Saturday if that's ok? Yeah I say then smile and say goodbye. I ran to class before the bell rang and sat in my usual spot next to Bridget. hey I say to Bridget and flick her in the arm. she flicks me back and smiles and tells me to be quiet. math was ok but our teacher is well..........i can't even explain. when the bell rang I ran out of the room. I never thought I'd ever be this excited to get out of math class.
The rest of the day was horrible lost of other bad things happened to me. During lunch we all had nowhere to sit so we sat on the floor. in science I messed up on the lab and set off the fire alarm. after that everything went even more downhill. At the end of the day I just know that I'm still hiding myself trying to tame the really me that is trying to get out.
