"Goodnight." My dad says, kissing my forehead. "Night." "Remember, I have to go to work early so you'll be on your own." He reminds me as he walks out of my room. "Okay." He shuts the door, and I shut my eyes.

I roll over, trying to get comfortable, but I can't. I sit up and sigh. I'm bored. It's 12:21, and I'm bored. I grab my phone off my nightstand and scroll through Instagram. I click on a video captioned, Walker, will you marry me? I laugh as I watch a girl in a blue hoodie gets down on one knee. She's holding a ring pop and her friend or sister-someone- is giggling in the background.

"Walker, I know you probably weren't expecting this...but I think...I think you're the one. And we just...we need to be together. So...Will you marry me?" The girl says dramatically.

I like the video and click on her profile. I click on her most recent video. It's a follow-up video to the one I just watched. The caption says, DM me, Walker, 😉💍

"So...we need to start discussing wedding plans. I'm thinking we do something pretty big, you know..like 2,000 people, a gigantic cake, outside."

I put my phone down and think for a second. I don't really want people to know we're dating yet...I've been getting lots of hate for ending my friendship with Taylor and Kenzie-not that Kenzie and I were ever friends anyway- but I really don't want to hear people's opinions on me dating Kenzies crush. I think it's too late now, though. A bunch of people have already seen the comment. I'm so dumb. What the heck.
