Okami leaned against a nearby tree as Run stood around him, instead standing on the path to the large garden, Esdeath tending to some flowers only a few metres from them.

"Run, I want to talk to you, according to what the Minister found, those Danger Beasts were originally human." Esdeath revealed.

"I knew it. I thought their physical characteristics were awfully close." Run mumbled under his breath.

"Men were turned into Danger Beasts, only a Teigu user would have the power to do that." Run said. "It's quite possible that those Danger Beasts are the results of the Doctor's experiments. They only started appearing shortly after he went missing." He went on.

"Do you have any other reasons behind your theory?" Esdeath asked.

"When I checked out his laboratory, I thought it was too spotless, even though he was supposed to be researching a number of things. The inside of his lab was quite immaculate and undisturbed." Run explained.

"Are you suggesting he had another secret lab elsewhere?" Esdeath asked.

"Yes. Perhaps the things he'd been keeping there got out." Run responded. "It's also possible that there's a completely new third party Teigu involved, but that's not likely." He added.

Just as I thought, Run is very handy off the battlefield as well. Esdeath thought to herself.

"That suggests even more strongly that he didn't engage the enemy to find Tatsumi. Rather, after finding the enemy's hideout, he engaged in the attack with the hopes of gaining materials for his experiments, only to be wiped out." Run explained.

"Perhaps he was, even crazier then I gave him credit for." Esdeath said solemnly.

"But there must be a limit to these Danger Beasts, even now, Seryu and the others are out there working to exterminate them." Run said.

"The problem doesn't end there." Esdeath added quickly, standing up.

Run listened close, curious on what she meant.

"The real question is, did they really get out on their own? Or did someone let them out with a key?" Esdeath asked rhetorically.

Run's eyes widened in realization. "I see, I will keep looking into this matter." He said seriously.

"I leave it in your hands, the problem may go deeper than we think." Esdeath added.

"Still Commander, it's rare to see you tending to the flowers." Run noticed.

"Hmm, ah, yes, this flower produces components which, when applied to a wound, induces a terrible pain. We can use it as a more mild torture device." Esdeath explained.

"I see." Run responded, a kind smile on his face before he turned around and walked off.

Esdeath then turned to Okami.

"How is she?" She asked.

"She's doing better since the breakdown, she has a strong mentality." He responded.

"I see, and what about the plan?"

"Going well, she wants to change, she just needs a reason to be accepted now."

"I understand, I heard the Minister may be getting some more strong allies to help him and us, so I'm sure we can set something up."

"...I'm surprised, it took you so little time to figure out what I was doing for her, but what really surprised me was your help."

"..."

"May I know why you're helping, considering what I understand about your ideals and backstory, I don't understand your motive."
