Sitting down at the table behind Esdeath's seat, a curtain blocking him from the other two, Okami couldn't help but let out a cold sweat, feeling like he perhaps shouldn't be listening to the conversation Wave and Esdeath were having.

"Captain! I also, want to become stronger! Please train me!" He announced.

"No can do." She responded simply.

"Wha!?"

"Didn't you say your strength is complete? In other words, you've already reached your limit." She reminded.

"But I won't know unless I try! I could push beyond my limits!" He tried.

"Hmm, if you insist, I could train you, but the final battle will be in a few days." She said, implying about how insignificant the results of their training would be. "If you want to get that much stronger in such a short time, only an extreme method would work."

"A-are you talking about dosing up?" He asked, hesitant.

"No, that won't do, you'll need something even more unorthodox." She snapped her fingers, an idea coming to mind.

"Normally, a person can wield only one Teigu at a time, that's an ironclad rule even I abide to. But, if one person were to use two Teigu's at once, what do you think would happen?" She asked, his eyes widened at what she was getting at. "The answer, is ruin. Neither their mind nor their body would be able to take it, but you might be able to fight using two Teigu's at least once, we'd have to take care of the compatibility problem though."

Two Teigu. Wave thought, gripping a fist. Then even I could...

"It's your body, decide what you will." She stated, standing up. "Now, your timing was just perfect, a feast arrived from the Emperor as an expression of his thanks." She opened the curtain behind her chair, showing Okami seated at the table for four with food stretching to the far corners of the table.

"Y-yo." Okami commented, giving a small wave.

"Okami, new look?" Wave asked.

"Yeah, think it looks good on me Wave?" He asked, standing up to show off the uniform made specially for him.

"Yeah, it looks good."

"So, wanna join me?" Okami asked. "Esdeath called me down earlier to talk, when this big feast was practically forced upon us." He explained.

"Oh, you can bring all the sweets to Kurome, she'll probably be tired once she's back from her mission." Esdeath stated.

"Mission?" Wave asked.

"She's been sent as a part of a special unit, they probably went to assassinate a major player in the Rebel army's camp." She responded.

His eyes widened as she continued. "I refused, but Kurome herself asked to go."

...

Stepping through the Capital, moving towards the meeting point, Kurome perked up as she noticed her old friends from the unit she'd been a part of before joining the Jaegers.

"Kurome!" One of them greeted, noticing the cheery girl.

"Long time no see, everyone!" Kurome said, running over to them.

"It's been forever!"

"How are things with the Jaegers team?"

Kurome laughed as one of the larger guys ruffled her hair, before she noticed something.

"Huh? Are there, fewer of you guys now?" She asked.

"Myle, Sena, Rico, they were disposed of because they were weak, Joe's also undergoing examination, but I don't think he's going to pass." One of them responded sadly.
