"All right!" Mine shouted enthusiastically. "We'll charge right through the Cathedral like this!" She added.
The three, Akame, Lubbock and Mine, were riding on the Air Manta towards the Cathedral, and were currently right overtop it.
"Mine, just before we get in, blast a big hole in the roof of the Cathedral for us with Pumpkin!" Lubbock ordered, a smile on his face as well.
"Got it! I'm all ready to go!" She responded.
"Pumpkin sure is a tough Teigu, didn't it go through hell when you and Tatsumi went through, uh, "you know what?"" He asked.
"That's true but, when I heard stories of how the boss used it, I always wondered how it didn't get damaged." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"And it never recoils?" He asked.
"Never. Just leave it to me." She said. She then smiled as she though back on a fond memory she had with Tatsumi. "After all, I'm a genius shot!" She proclaimed.
A sudden whoosh of air slammed into them, as Run flew by with his Teigu. "What?!" Akame shouted, surprised.
"I knew they'd have a separate aerial unit. Looks like we managed to predict the situation perfectly this time." Run mumbled. "But I'm surprised you'd launch an attack from the air, when you know full well that it's my territory." He added.
He gathered up a bunch of his feathers, and shot it as the Air Manta, who took the attack point blank, dying immediately, and beginning to plummet to the ground. "Poor work, is the only thing I can call it!" He shouted
Lubbock thought fast about what to do as the Air Manta fell, while in the distance, a man swung a sword up to his shoulder.
"There you are, Night Raid. As payback for Bols, Stylish, and however it was that you managed to convince Seryu. And finally, for hurting Kurome. I'm going to settle the score once and for all!" Wave declared.
Lubbock tried to think as best he could as they fell. "The Air Manta is as dead as a doornail! We're gonna crash!" He shouted, panicking.
Run swooped down, gliding above them as he threw out a bunch of feathers. "I'm not letting this chance go to waste!" He announced.
Mine stood up, pointing out Pumpkin. "And I'm not gonna let this wreck go to waste!" She shouted, firing off the large laser.
Run went to dodge the attack, but it still grazed his side, and a searing pain shot throughout his body. "Ngh!" That Teigu, is more trouble than I'd thought.
Mine clicked her tongue at not being able to finish Run, and ducked down as she noticed the feathers still heading her way.
Akame lunged out, quickly destroying the feathers with her Murasame, before sheathing it once more. "Good marksmanship Mine, you chased him off!" Akame complimented.
"Hmph, you're the one with the nice follow up." Mine returned.
"This is no time for compliments! We're all gonna crash and die!" Lubbock shouted, an idea coming to mind. "Hang on to me!"
He whirled his wires around the dead beast, creating what looked to be a giant cocoon falling though the sky. "It's an impromptu cushion, but it should work." Lubbock mumbled.
The Manta hit the ground with a large *boom,* and Crawstail's wires were drawn back as Lubbock let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god, the Air Manta took all the impact with its body." He explained.
Akame bowed to the dead danger beast. "Thank you for everything, you helped us to the very end." She thanked.
After a moment of silence, Akame took charge. "We landed right out front, let's hurry into the Cathedral." She ordered.
