Your POV
"So you're telling me, that not only do you study the same as Ryujin but also the same as Yeji and Chaeryeong?" I only nodded before Minjeong continued, "ohh boy, good luck with that."
"Thanks, I'm gonna need it." I sighed and took a sip of my coffee.
We are sat here in the nearest coffee shop to the university, and it is honestly not bad. I really like the aesthetic of the place, and the smell of the coffee adds a bonus to the cozy feeling that the coffee shop gives off. There is music being played softly in the background, and I noticed the song being Coffee by BTS, an amazing song that fit perfectly to a coffee shop. I was listening to the song while sipping on my coffee quietly, enjoying the moment of silence between Minjeong and I as we had just talked about what happened to me this morning.
"You know how you saw Lia earlier?" Minjeong asked as I merely nodded in response. "She studies the same as me..."
"Oh, well good luck to you as well then." I chuckled as I patted her head and took a sip of my coffee.
"Honestly, Lia is not as bad as Ryujin."
"Maybe not, but she was still a part of everything that happened in the past." I said and shrugged because it was obviously true. Even though Lia didn't do as much as the other one, she was still a part of it and an accomplice, if that is even what I can call her.
"That's true and I will obviously hold that against her, but I just thought that maybe they had changed... Obviously not Ryujin, because of her reaction to you, but maybe her friends have changed."
"Perhaps, but I won't take that chance. They may be snakes in disguise," I gave her a pointed look before I continued. "You know how snakes shed their skins, maybe this front they have on now is their skin for now before they show their true selves."
"Damn, that was deep." We both just laughed it off before there was yet another comfortable silence between us where I could hear the song change to Shutdown by Moon Byul and Seori. Just from their choice of songs, I felt like I wanted to work here.
"Should we get a job, Minnie?" She just looked at me confused by my question.
"Why?"
"Well at some point we will run out of money from our savings, and then we will be homeless."
"You're so dramatic sometimes," Minjeong simply said as she chuckled and I merely shrugged my shoulders because my statement was true.
"But you're right, we should get a job."
"Why not here? We can apply together." I looked around hoping to see a sign that said exactly that, that they were looking for new workers. However, I did not find one.
"Yeah sure, but-" Before she could continue talking, I called out for a waitress that walked towards us immediately.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
"Hi, we just wanted to ask if you are looking for any new employees. You see, we are both looking for a job, and we really like this coffee shop." I tried to show off my flirty side to the waitress as a way to, simply said, get what I want - which was a job. I showed off my charming smile as I waited for her reply. She blushed slightly, and looked towards the counter where a woman and a guy were standing beside each other. The woman was taking a customer's order whereas the guy was making coffee.
"L-Let me just ask my manager, I'll be right back."
"Sure, take your time." I winked at her as her blush grew deeper and she walked away hastily.
"Very smooth, Y/N." Minjeong chuckled as she gave me a pointed look. She wasn't very fond of me flirting my way to get what I wanted, but hey, if it means I'll get what I want faster then so be it.
"Thank you, at least she was quick enough to go talk to her manager."
"More like she was running away from your flirty ass."
"Hey! She seemed to like this flirty ass."
Minjeong just rolled her eyes, right when the manager came over to our table. I looked over to the counter to see the waitress from before looking over at us and blush again when we made eye contact. I just grinned and then she quickly turned the other way to take the next customer's order.
"Hello ladies, my employee over there tells me you're looking for a job?"
"Yes we are, in fact we just moved here to the city because of our studies so we are looking for a job as fast as possible. And we really want to apply for this job since it is also near our university, which is also convenient." I answered her in the best way I could, because if I was to get a job then it would be in a place like this. I do not want to work in a store nor a restaurant, because that is too much work and boring. Working in a place like this is cozy and it does not seem that difficult.
"Well okay then, you can come by whenever with your CV and job application, and then we will take it from there."
"Okay, thank you very much." I said and stood up bowing to her while Minjeong did the same and said a 'thank you' as well.
The manager left shortly after that and I just smirked at Minjeong. I moved my hand over my head like a rainbow, just like that Spongebob meme and said "Magic" to her, to which she only rolled her eyes and finished her coffee.
"Alright, let's go loser. It's getting late."
"Actually, I was thinking of staying for a bit." I said as I looked over at the waitress who kept glancing my way as Minjeong got up from her seat. She looked between me and the waitress before she sighed.
"You have got to be kidding me, already Y/N?" I just shrugged in response as I winked at the waitress.
"What can I say? I told you she likes this flirty ass."
"The devil works fast, but Y/N works faster." Minjeong mumbled to herself but I heard everything making me laugh out loud which made Minjeong laugh as well.
"Alright fine Y/N, have fun but just don't come over to our apartment if you're gonna do that, I would rather not hear my best friend doing the nasty." She said as she made a disgusted face, but I just laughed at her and nodded. We exchanged our goodbyes before I turned my head to the waitress.
Maybe Seoul isn't so bad after all.
