"So you fell out of a car and fractured your kneecap?""God, when you say it like that it makes me sound pathetic."
"That kinda is pathetic."
Jimin glares up at his father who wears a teasing smile. He should've known that the moment he told him about why he arrived home wearing a knee brace that his dad was going to tease him. Even Jimin himself still can't believe his knee is fractured. He's just glad it isn't severely broken.
"What are you doing home so early, anyway? You usually don't get off until later." The younger omega mumbles, hobbling his way to the kitchen to look for something to eat. He wish he had more of the food from Yoongi's pack.
"Use your crutches," his father scolds gently but follows behind him. "And Jaewon edited my schedule so that I'd have more time off. He's a great boss."
If Jimin remembers correctly, Jaewon, who is also his father's boss, is Jeongguk's father. Plus, the alpha that his father is currently dating, but that's old news. But it's good that his father has more time off. He has been seeing him home more recently, and part of Jimin realizes that he kept his word. He said he'd be home more and he has been.
When he entered the kitchen, he noticed a bouquet of flowers in a vase on the table and a small luxury shopping bag. He raises an eyebrow but takes a seat at the table anyway. The flowers are pretty, mixes of tulips, peonies, and lilacs. Pretty flowers. Jeongguk's father must have gifted them.
"Jaewon took me to lunch earlier and he saw how old my wallet looked so he bought me a new one." His father explains, already seeing the questions in his son's eyes.
Jimin scrunches his face a bit. His father had his old wallet for forever. So long ago that when his mother was alive, she begged him to buy a new one. He had a sort of attachment to the tattered thing. It was of old, frayed leather and was practically falling apart at the seams. So it's good that he got a new one, but the old one meant alot to his dad. He wouldn't even buy a new one if his wife complained about it every time she saw it (and boy, did she complain.)
"You gave up your old one?" The pinkette asks. He glances at the shopping bag on the table.
The older man sighs. "I decided it was time for a new one. I still have the old one, though. I'll frame it or something."
"You're not framing a wallet, dad."
"Sure, I will. Your mother didn't yell at me all these years to throw it out just for me to listen to her." He jokes and surprisingly, Jimin stifles out a chuckle of his own. His mother really didn't like that wallet.
"Anyway, enough of me." He watches his dad pull a chair out and sit across from him. "How was the pack tour?"
Jimin went on explaining the wide land of the pack and the different things he saw. He shared his want to shift and run through the forest or to shop at the market, a bit saddened that he couldn't do either. Yoongi had taken him home earlier than the others shortly after lunch so he didn't get to explore much. Speaking of Yoongi, Jimin thought it was strange that the alpha came and dropped him off food and refused to leave until he finished it. Not only that, but why was Yoongi in wolf form?
And due to feeling confused about the situation, Jimin decided to share this information with his father. They used to always confide in each other, so maybe they can try it again. The older omega was clearly happy when Jimin started to share, and his grin only grew when Jimin started talking about Yoongi bringing him the food earlier.
"I guess it's time that I teach you about alphas." His father says with a smile so excited Jimin started to get grossed out.
"Ew, no...if you're gonna talk about heats or ruts or mating then I'm out-"
