Level 2 - The Brink of Yellow Hell

        It was pitch black for a moment and then a line of glowing rectangles at the bottom of the darkness then I hit the ground hard. * Thunk*

" Ugh! Ow!..." I say, I lay on the ground to let the pain ease up, I open my eyes. Around me was the sight of yellow everywhere, I was laying on a carpet, and the lights were at a max hum sound, the walls were pretty bland and looked like they were covered in some sort of wallpaper, around me was this open space that looked like it could leads to different rooms and hallways. Wherever I was, it looked like it was a backroom space for an office. My eyes widened and my breathing became heavier.

" W-where am I? What is this place? What's going on?!" I shouted to myself, I was having a panic attack, I looked around and spotted my camera.

" M-my camera, oh thank god it's not broken," I say, I pick it up and observe it,

" Ack! That smell, it's awful, smells like this carpet hasn't been washed in ages," I say to myself, I grab my phone and try texting my girlfriend,

" Honey something happened, idk but it seems like I fell through the ground? or in a hole? But around me is just like this abandoned office area, idk what's going on," I texted her, my text was just loading, I had no service so I couldn't send or receive messages.

" Honey???..." I texted her,

" Honey, are you getting my messages???" I texted her, it wasn't working and I couldn't just sit around, I got up and started walking straight. The place was so barren, there was almost nothing, just the yellow lights and the hum,the halls, the room, the walls, and carpet,

" Hm I should probably record so I at least know if I get lost I know where I'm going, but I should just record anyways, I mean this place seems small I just gotta find a door," I say to myself, I go into one of the halls,

" Nope, or not, this place is alot bigger than I thought it was," I say, the environment was mostly the same but the rooms and halls were different. Some rooms and halls were fully lit up, some were dimmed, and some were completely dark. Walking around this place gave me a sense of anxiety, as if something was wrong or I wasn't supposed to be here.

" How did I get here? Why is this underneath the road? I always thought it was a sewage tunnel but why is there this giant abandoned office underneath it? It doesn't make sense how I got here either, it's like I just fell through the ground, there was no hole, how did that happen? Did I somehow like noclip out or reality? That's impossible that only happens in games, like breaking a barrier or a wall that you can fall through but how could it have happened to me, I've got to get out of this place, fast," I question myself, questions like those are ones that have been going through my mind since I got here. I walk into a dark long hall connected to other hall's, though I feel like it was a bad idea to go through it, I feel like I have no choice either. I record the majority of the place, I stop every once in a while to let my hand rest and to not waste my battery. At least the place had outlets so I could charge my things but they seemed fine and charged. I turned around to see the hall, I thought I saw something peek through the end of the hall but I could be imagining things.

" Hello?" I shouted across the halls, of course no response, this place was completely abandoned. I checked my phone to tell the time but it just froze at 6:47 am. I guess it's that bad here that phones don't work well in a place like this. I walked to one of the opening hallways that were lit up, there wasn't much about this place, but for some reason it seems like it just never ends. Open halls that just lead to different rooms and halls, I wonder why it was built like this. I don't really know my sense of direction either so I don't know where I am going, I'm just walking into random halls and rooms that I have no idea what to lead to. I walked into a large room that was mostly open, on the right led to a ladder that had a perfect square hole in it. I climb up the ladder and crawl through the small hole in the wall. I jump down to the other side,

" Well looks like I'm not getting back there," I said, the room on the other side was almost the same, it just had more entrances that lead to the same room while the other room had only one. I walked out the room and it wasn't mirrored as I thought it was going to be, there were different rooms.

" God, how big is this place," I said. The place was so big I had no idea where I was going anymore. I was just walking around in an endless maze at this point, the yellow was starting to mess with my eyes, the buzz was giving me a headache, and the stench was enough to make me gag. I walk into a dark room and walk into what seems like I'm just going in circles, the halls looked the same, it was starting to mess with me. I don't know if I'm tired or hungry or if this place is just starting to mess with me. I am getting a little hungry,

" Man I have to find some food, if only I brought some with me, that would have been great...my legs are getting a little tired, I've been walking this entire time I should find a room with an outlet or something," I say, I walk into many rooms to see if they would have an outlet but none have had any in them.

" Man I hope I just didn't find a place where there aren't any outlets in it," I said. A sudden rustling happened in a room a few halls away, I slowly walked towards the noise and passed through the halls where I heard the noise. I peek my head in, it was a person, looked like he was roughly in his forties or fifties, dressed in formal dress wear. At least I wasn't alone in here.

" ...H-hello?" I say, the man stand up and turns around, my face fell into both shock and disgust, his face was missing it was just blank, no eyes, no nose or mouth just skin covering a blank face,

" Oh my god what happened to your face!?" I yelled, I put my hands on my face to make sure I still had mine, the man waved at me, I confusingly waved back, the room was quite small but it had an outlet in it.

" U-uh ummm, are you using that?" I pointed to the outlet, he pointed to the outlet in response.

" Y-yeah the outlet," I said, he shaked his head and moved out of the way so I could get to the outlet and guided me to the outlet.

" T-thank you," I say, he nods and leaves the room, the man turned back and waved at me before leaving the room fully,

" ...WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!" I shouted, I sat down for a minute to process what had just happened.

" I hope this place is just messing with me and giving me hallucinations, why did that guy have no face, how is he even alive?" I say, I go on my phone to see if anything worked, nothing really, I could try to send messages but it couldn't send them. I looked back at the footage on my camera for a little bit and something caught me off guard. In one of the dark halls, a large dark slender figure walks into a hall,

" Wait, what's that? Could it be that guy I saw earlier, it can't be it's way too...tall and skinny to be it, but it could have been and the footage was just bad," I think, I put my camera down and bring my phone back out. As I gaze at my phone I become a little drowsy and accidentally fall asleep.
