A dreadful night. (Chapter 5)

Lucky me.

We were already inside as everyone was discussing to themselves. "So, Y/n. Wanna stay the night? Get a feel for the place. Y'know." Cap said awkwardly as Bruce looked over at us and so did Nat with a weird look.
"No. That's an order." Khonshu hissed
"No, no need." I responded quickly
I didn't really like the idea of staying the night until it started to thunderstorm, great, just great. "Uhm. I don't think any of us can go anywhere." Bruce said pointing outside as tony said "Welp. It's settled. Your staying the night Y/n. Your room is 2 floors up." This was great.
". . . I'd rather walk." Khonshu stated
I laughed a little to myself as vision said "so the others aren't coming to visit?" Sam nodded as Nat said "strange could come but I don't think he will." Peter looked over and said "what would I tell aunt May?" Tony smiled and said "got it all covered, kid.". (Time skip) I was in my substitute room trying to feel the slightest at home when khonshu appeared
"You seem cozy." Stated khonshu
"I sure am." I said rolling my eyes
Khonshu was currently sat on the nightstand beside me.

"This is gonna be hell." I stated
I could be as loud as I wanted, no one would hear, right? I looked over at Khonshu as he stared down at me bobbing his head
"Your doing that why?" I questioned
"Do not question my actions." He replied
I laughed a little as I leaned back onto the head board comfortably sitting there.
"Y/n, i sense that they will ask you to become an avenger." Khonshu stated
"I agree with you on that" I pointed out
"You must remember. Every moon knight before you has worked alone. With no teammates other then any alter they would've had." Khonshu pointed out
I understood what would need to be done in order to keep my relation with the Egyptian god a secret.
"Sure. I'll do that. I like working alone anyways and besides, I'm 31, why need teamwork?" I replied as Khonshu nodded
I looked Over at the time and i read "12:57 am"
"You staring up at the ceiling is pointless." Khonshu stated looking over
"It's not pointless." I replied quickly
"I hear a sound." Khonshu said
Khonshu darted his head towards the door
"Huh." I said looking at the door.

I heard some sort of whispering and then a weird scurry across the hall.
"There's no one there." Khonshu stated
"We'll find out in the morning." I replied
I laid back down facing Khonshu
"You bird skull is scaring the crap outta me currently so please turn away." I said
"No." Khonshu replied
"Fine." I said
I sat up on the bed again realizing I hadn't brought any melatonin, I didn't think I was staying the night here. Khonshu placed a cold hand on my head which startled me because of the immediate cold
"Your hands are cold." I said
"That's normal." Khonshu replied coldly
Even his voice was cold at times.
"Huh." I'd say looking over getting off of the bed staring at one of the many windows.
"This place had its own god, thor." I stated
"Your point?" Khonshu replied moving towards the window to stare down.
"Doesn't that mean multiple gods of many cultures are real?" I asked
"Yes. Some more alive then others." Khonshu replied
"Do they have avatars?" I questioned
"I believe not since Thor's culture doesn't seem to be the type that involves human relation." Khonshu replied
"Definitely makes sense. totally get it." I said.

"Idiot." Khonshu stated
"Am not." I said
"Agree to disagree." Khonshu stated
I looked down realizing how tall the building actually was, I wonder...
"Wait. Wouldn't a god sense another gods presence?" I asked
"We're gods not observers." Khonshu said
"yeah. Who's stronger? You or thor?" I said (next piece of info came from a website)
"Me. I have the ability to manipulate moon rock. His hammer's crafted from moon rock." Khonshu answered
"Huh. Can you manipulate moon rock within my head?" I said, this information was a need.
"I believe so, although it requires me to be visible in some way." Khonshu replied
I nodded while I looked down.
"You need this information, why?" Khonshu asked
"No reason. Although it intrigues me since they do not know I'm moon knight or the fist of khonshu. Yet perceive me to be strong just because I had put thor into a chokehold, That seems very naive." I stated
"Finally. You understand. although your still an idiot." Khonshu said
"Haha. I don't hate the avengers, it's just they get naive at times." I replied
"I prefer them be dead." Khonshu admitted
"I think that's just you." I replied
Me and Khonshu talked and talked for the rest of the night.
