note: idk how americain school system works i live in France lmaoo so dont come at me if i say shit. btw: '[...]' = though.

Steve and Eddie were in the same english class. They wouldn't speak to each other except for group work. Steve didn't mind that at all, Eddie seems to be a cool guy but he didn't wanted to build a friendship with him. They were totally different actually. Eddie would listen to Slipknot or Black Sabbath while Steve listen to Olivia Newton and sometimes Madonna. Eddie thought the same about Steve.

Sometimes he would see Eddie at lunch with Dustin and Mike, sometimes even with his best friend Robin. He though that if his friends were hanging with him maybe he should. As he was still looking at them, Eddie turned his head and saw Steve. They both quickly looked away. But then, Robin look at him too and she wave at Steve before saying bye to her friends and going to him.
'Hey Steve! Didn't saw you all day, how are you?'-R , she sat in front of him.
'Yeah Im good, you?'-S
'I mean, great, but why weren't you here today?'-R
'My teacher weren't there all morning, I have english and math lesson and it's over'-S
'Really? I have tree test in a row'-r
'Damn, what class?'-S
'P.E, french and biology'-R
'Yeah good luck'-S
'Anyway, do you want to join us? I mean you're alone'-R
'Uuhh, no no, Im good i'll have to go soon anyway'-S
'Oh c'mon Stevie, Eddie is a good guy! He's not scary like he looks like you know'-R
'Yeah, still no'-S
'Fucking unsocial'-R

'Please Steve! You can sit next to me and I'll introduce you to him'-r
'Yeah okay, whatever. I still have to go soon though'-S

They both get up, Steve throws his food while Robin is waiting for him. Eddie didn't look away their whole conversation, and when he saw them coming to them he panicked. Steve and Robin sat down and Robin's and Steve's friends started to talk while Eddie was left behind. He get up from the bench and dramatically grabbed his food. He just couldn't stand no one paying attention to him, plus his anxiety just couldn't stand Steve looking at him like he was trying to say something while Eddie sent him cold stares.
'Gotta go'-E
'No stay please!'-D
'Yeah what are you going to do anyway? Smoke weed with your crush?'-R
'Shut up you prick, he's not my crush'-E
Steve didn't stop watching Eddie's face reaction while drinking his coke. Eddie's face was just too pretty to not stare at it.
But then they hade an eye contact and they instantly looked away.
'And I don't smoke in school, see y'all later'-E, he then meet Steve's gaze again and smiled at him. Steve respond back with a warm smile. Eddie throw his food and go out of the cafeteria.
'Um, I have to go to, bye'-S, he didn't left the time for his friends to say anything back and he start to walk where he assume Eddie was. He open the cafeteria door and saw Eddie going into his club room. He quickly follow and has he was going to knock at the door he though,'wait, what if he's with someone? It's gonna be so embarrassing if someone else is here too' . He took a step back and assume it was Eddie who was laughing. 'He's definitely with someone else fuck'.
He went to the bathroom, he didn't wanted to go back to his friends. He lock himself in the bathroom and waited for the bell to ring. 'English class, guess i'll see Eddie there.'
He sat for 10 minutes and the bell finally ring. His but hurt from sitting for 20 minutes on the cold floor. He unlock the door and go to his class.

Steve spot Jonathan waving at him. Jonathan wasn't a good friend of Steve, even a friend actually. They have the same relationship as him and Eddie, they speak just for work nothing else. Of course when Jonathan was around he'll never avoid him, so he waved back. He go to his sit and take out a pen and his book and waiting for his teacher to came in and start the lesson. Steve didn't saw Eddie, maybe he's skipping the class. Steve just wish he could skip classes too but he was too afraid of his father finding out. Steve's teacher enters the room and start the lesson after unpacking his stuff. Steve just found the class boring, like every time. So he took his pen and starts drawing on his left hand. He drew bats flying to his fingers and just wrote words next to them and even little smiles. Then a knock interrupted him. 'Sorry I'm late'-E, Eddie spoke scratching the back of his head.
'And can you tell why?'-T, the teachers spoke.
'Um, the principal wanted to see me'-E
'Really Munson?'-T
'I mean..yeah?'-E
'I'll check after class'-T
Eddie start to walk to his sit who was next to Steve's. Eddie saw the bats on his hand and smiled at it.

The class would end in 30 minutes, Steve was this close to just close his eyes and sleep until the day is over. But a piece of paper interrupted his mind. He look next to him and just saw Eddie sketching. He open the paper and a little blush took over his cheeks.
'Love the bats Stevie-Eds'
He didn't dare looking at Eddie because of his blushing. So he just wrote back. 'Thx love your outfit:)' And he threw the paper back. But he didn't looked away, he was looking at Eds reaction who was pretty strange.
Steve could swear he saw red on his face before he hide it by resting his face into his hand.
Eddie kept the paper in his pocket and Steve just kept drawing on his hand or the desk. Eddie just wanted to write something back like 'u too' or 'i know;)' but he never send anything. Then the bell ring again and when Eddie looked up, Steve was already gone. He just got up, took his thing and went to his other class, history.

Steve's day was finally over, he was going to go home but someone stopped him by grabbing his shoulder. He turned back to see Dustin.
'What do you want?'-S
'Steve can you come to the club please, we need new people!'-D
'Why me? Go ask Robin or Max i don't know'-S
'They all said no, please Steve you're out last hope. You can't let us down like that!'-D
'Isn't it Eddie's club?'-S
'Uh yeah why?'-D
'Yeah okay i'll join but I don't know the rules'-S
'Oh um, okay, um. It's cool if you don't know the rules someone at the club will help you with that 'kay?'-D
'Cool, when are we going then?'-S
'Right now'-D
'Oh damn okay'-S

Steve and Dustin are in front of the clubs door. Dustin opens it and salute everyone.
'Eddie, Steve want to join our club! Isn't it amazing ?'-D
'Oh, welcome then Harrington'-E, he says with a smile on the corner of his pink lips.
'H-hi, um'-D
'The only problem is that he has never played d&d'-D
'And I don't know the rules so-'-S
'That's cool, i can teach you how to play while the other do their shit'-E
'Ooh can I do the thing?'-D
'Yeah if you want'-E
Steve was panicking in his head, Eddie is gonna be next to him teaching the amazing world of d&d of maybe an hour or two. Wow.
'So, you really don't know anything'-E
'..Noo'-S, Steve didn't dare too look Eddie in his eyes, Eds found it funny.
'You can look at me you know Harrington, I'm not gonna eat you'-E, his voice was seductive and calm at the same time.
'I-I know I just need to go to the bathroom really quick sorry'-S
'It's cool, do you want me to go with you?'-E, Eds smile just grow bigger just like Steve's blush.
'Nah I'm-I'm good actually'-S
Steve get up and get out of the room. Eds stretches while Steve is washing his face in the bathroom, praying his blush to go away.
He really found something attractive in this guy, his long and curly hair, his beautiful eyes that matches the brunette hair and do we even need to speak about his hands?
After 2 minutes id trying to speak of anything else than Eddie, he goes back to the club like nothing
happens.
'Ah you're back!'-E
Steve nods not even trying to hide his smile and sat next to him.

It was nearly 6pm and the whole club has left after the game except for Eddie and Steve. Steve was so concentrated to the game that he didn't noticed Eddie watching his lips when he was asking questions. But Eddie did notice Steve staring though.
This man was just so god looking, his perfect hair and his perfect jawline could kill Eddie right here.
The brunette actually had a crush on Steve the whole school year, he remember that day when Steve were with Nancy again or when he had this hickey on his neck.
He just wished he was him who did the hickey that day.
'D'you get now?'-E
'I think I do!'-S, Steve smiles and turns his head to look at Eds who was already watching him. Steve instantly got lost in his dark chocolate eyes, then his eyes went down to his lips.
'What you watching Harrington?'-E, Eddie couldn't help but smiles even harder. Steve blush cause Eds caught him and the way he has said his last name.
'Nothing'-S, Steve turns his head to the book only for Eddie to grabs his chin with his fingers.
'C'mon, tell me'-E, Steve just panicked.
'I-I- I need to go'-S, Eds stop holding Steve's chin and his smiles fades. Steve just got up and almost ran to the exit.
Eddie was still sitting, covering his face with his hands and mumbled insult to himself.

Steve exit the school, feeling shit about himself. The whole drive to his home he just wanted to go back and hug Eddie but he was already in pyjamas in his bed.
