If Abuela knew Mirabel's Gift

Part 1

This is my first book/story so please don't bully me :')

I think we all know the theory that Mirabel is the next candle holder and the reason that she didn't get a gift is because: holding the candle IS the gift. (so she kinda has to wait for abuela to... Die)

Now let's begin the story :)

(younger) Mirabel's pov

Abuela was telling me the story of how she cot that candle and how Abuelo Pedro was beheaded (killed)

"And now, today, you will get your gift, Mirabel," Abuela told me. "And you will be just as special as everyone else in your family."

*30 mins before her ceremony*

Alma's pov (abuela)

I went to Bruno to ask him if everything will go pervectly.  He had a vision of Mirabel. She didn't get a gift. I started to get a bit sad for her, and a bit angry at Bruno. This wasn't the first time he told people about sad things to happen in their future.

As I started thinking about what to tell everyone after Mirabel doesn't get her gift, Bruno and I saw something else in the vision. It would happen years and years later, it's was a vision of me and Mirabel. She was crying and seemed very, very sad.

"I'm so sorry abuela! I'm so sorry I didn't help..." she sobbed

My future self looked at her, and said, "Mirabel, now is the time. You are the next candle holder. I've been waiting so,so long to tell you."

It all made sence. She wouldn't get a gift,because she's the next candle holder!

"Take the candle, for me, Mirabel. It's yours now." future me said.

After the vision, Bruno looked at me. "Mirabel's the next candle holder?! She ganna do a great job mama! I didn't have a vision but I already know it!" he said happily

I knew he was right

*at the ceremony*

Mirabel's pov

I walked up the stairs looking at Abuela. She looked a bit sad, but happy at the same time.

When I got all the way up, she looked at me and said" Mirabel, do you promise to use your gift to help and serve this community?"" yes!" I answered

*after the door disappears cos I'm too lazy to write something for that*

"Abuela, why did the door disappear? Did I not get a gift?" I asked her

She looked at the people of the town.

"Today, we may have not gotten a new gift, but instead, a miracle!" she said

I was very confused but decided not to ask her now

After a few hours, all the guess had left. Most of the family was either asleep, talking to each other, or eating.

Abuela was with me in the nursery and.

"Abuela, why didn't I get a gift? Does this mean I'm not as special as the rest of the family?" I asked

"Mirabel, you are still just as special as the rest of the family. And... Um yes... You didn't get a gift Mirabel. But that's okay, right? Your more than just your gift." She said trying to comfort me.

*years later*

Isabella's pov

I was sitting on the floor of my beautiful room, listening to mama and abuela talking about something. Normally I wouldn't really listen to other people's conversations, but I heard my name alot in this one. All I could understand though the walls was that I had something to do with pervection, marriage and some guy named Marriano. I didn't know anyone named 'Marriano', but then I realized...

Marriage?!

Was I ganna marry him?!

I went to someone else who probably heard the entire conversation

Dolores

"Um hey, Dolores! Are you there?! (she's in dolores's room) I kinda need your help with something!"

I saw Dolores sitting on her bed, she looked like she was listening to someone's conversation

"Isa, I know your there. You don't have to screem." she replied

I forgot she could hear everything

Mirabel's pov:

About 10 years ago, was my gift ceremony. 10 YEARS! And abuela still refuses to tell me why I didn't get a gift. I think she wants to tell me but is worried I'll run away or get super or sad... Or something...

I heard my mom talking to abuela

I wanted to listen because I had nothing better to do

"Mama I think it's a very nice idea, but don't you think we should ask Isabella about this BEFORE the proposal?" I heard my mom say

Is Isa getting married? I thought. I didn't know she had a boyfriend -_- she doesn't tell me anything! I thought.

"Julieta, it's a good idea. I'm sure Isabella will be perfectly okay with this." Abuela replied

I didn't know what they meant by "okay with it". Does she know she getting proposed to? Isn't it surpost to like be a surprise? I thought to myself

Okay for the fist chapter of my fist story, I think it's kinda okay. Maybe I'll get better. I don't really have much motivation or ideas to continue right now. So I'll continue later. Bye✌️
