If Abuela knew Mirabel's Gift

Part 2

I forgot to say this in part 1, but I made the picture :) aka like this thumbnail or whatever it's called

Anyway, onto the story

Previously:

I didn't know what they meant by "okay with it". Does she know she getting proposed to? Isn't it surpost to like be a surprise? I thought to myself

Mirabel's pov:

I know  it would be kinda nosy to keep spying on them, but I don't care.

I went to Dolores room, so in a way, she's spying, not me.

On my way to her room, I saw Camilo and Antonio walking to Tia Pepa's room.

Come to think of it, Antonio was the age he'd get his gift!

I was so happy for him! But I had a slight feeling of guilt... And sadness. I started having flash-backs of my gift ceremony

The day before, I looked just as happy as Antonio looks now

I was so sad I almost forgot why I went to Dolores's room!

When I went inside, I was shocked to see Isabella having a small panic attack! She looked like she had seen a goust!

I knew Dolores could hear me entering. I decided to hide behind a small plant.

Since we don't know what Dolores's room looks like, I'm just say things in the story that might not make much sence. But this is an alternative unerverse so I can do whatever I want to it >:)

"Isa, I know it's fast. But there's nothing we can do about it. Abuela will do what she has to do to make our family look 'perfect'! Even if she has to force you to marry some guy you don't know. I'm sorry she's doing this to you." Dolores said, trying to comfort Isabella

So Isa is getting married?! I wanted to say something to Isa, but if I just walked up to her from behind a plant, she might think I was spying! I mean... Yeah... I kinda was but that's not the point!

"Don't be sorry." Isabella said, responding to Dolores. It had been silent for a bit, so I was glad Isa said something.

Isabella looked at the plant I was hiding behind. She didn't see my face, but when she saw the flowers on my dress, she thought those were flowers that fell on the plant.

"You know," she said looking at Dolores "your room could use a bit more flowers." she than started growing more plants for Dolores

After that, Isa got off the floor of Dolores's room. Then she left and went to her room.

Dolores walked to me and moved the plant.

"Great! Now I have more than Doble that the amount of plants to take care of!" she said sarcastically

"I don't know if you got all  of that but Isabella's getting married soon. And to some guy she doesn't even know!" she said with her hands over her ears.

I started to understand. Now it made sence why Isabella looked so sad

I was about to ask Dolores a question when she started listening to something. She seemed interested in it.

" Did you know, Antonio is getting his gift ceremony in a few days? Isn't it exciting?!" she wispered excitedly

"oh cool." I replied

I decided to go back to my room... Well Antonio and I's room.

When I went in, Tia Pepa was talking to Antonio. They were talking about his gift ceremony.

"It's not that far from now 'tonito. Make your family proud! Your ganna do a great job. And we all can't wait to see what amazing gift you get." Tia said

Antonia looked really happy. I was kinda spying on them because I didn't really wanna be in an awkward situation. I was tired of always standing around spying on people! I went in the room. No one was saying anything so I didn't have to interrupt anything.

"Oh uhh... Hey Mirabel!" Pepa said "Hi Mirabel! Where were you? I looked for you for an entire... like... 20 minutes!" Antonio said

I laughed a bit, then told I was just talking to Isabella and Dolores.

"Speaking of Isabella," Tia said. I assumed she was ganna tell me about the proposal

"shes getting married in a few weeks! How exciting! But I do feel a bit bad for her though. She has to marry a man and only gets the chance to know him after they get married."

She's right. It's nice that she's getting married. But also kinda sad since they haven't even met yet

" Oh and Mirabel, don't forget, Antonio's gift ceremony is in a few days. I think only 4... Soon hell have a room and gift of his very own! "she said

I started to get a bit jealous

Even though he hadn't got a gift or room yet, I was jealous.

Even he got a gift, it would be amazing. He could help the town, he'd make abuela happy, he'd have a room just for himself! It be great for him

I just knew he'd get a good gift

But if what happened to me, happens to him... At least I still get to share a room with the world's best roommate!

No matter what happens,it will be what's good for him.

I was tired. I hadn't had supper yep, but I wasn't hungry

Okay I'm out of ideas and motivation. Plus right now it's like 10 pm. I've been working on this part for like 3 hours and it's kinda sucks T-T I'll continue when I have: motivation, ideas and time
