i'm just going to teach you one pattern for tie dying but there are numerous ways so look them up ◡̈

↣ step 1:
first you want to make a spiral shape. lay your shirt flat, then with your index finger and thumb placed in the center, begin moving them round in a circular motion to create the spiral

↣ step 2:
once you've spiraled the shirt, you'll need to add some elastic bands, you need at least 6 sections so 3 elastic bands should work

↣ step 3:
tie dying is a messy business, so be sure to set up a table with a plastic covering, outside or away from any furniture or carpet

↣ step 4:
soak your shirt in lukewarm water for around 20 minutes. each dye package should come with directions listing the proportions of water to dye so prepare your dyes

↣ step 5:
dye your shirt. you can do this using squishy bottles or just dip dye your shirt

↣ step 6:
let the dye set in a plastic bag for 4-6 hours somewhere warm so that the dye has time to react

↣ step 7:
wearing rubber gloves, take out the shirt and take off the elastic bands. rinse it in cold water to remove any excess dye

put your shirt in the washing machine by itself on cold water then wear your shirt
