Chapter 3: The spark

   The Alpha Team rested while they waited to go back to base. Loona was a in extreme guilt about sending humans to Red Claw and did not know that they were trying to make them go extinct. 

   She then looked at the malnourished human child asleep in Dasha's lap which makes her even more guilty even that humans weren't nice to furs years earlier, they all didn't deserve to be tortured or killed by Red Claw.

"I feel terrible... I can't believe we been sending innocent humans to evils monsters." Loona says.

"You're not the only one Loona, I felt terrible as well... I looked at the files you found and the pictures were terrible to look at." Nika says.

"Girls. I know we committed sins, even me, but we can change all this." Chloe says.

"Like what? Those humans that the Red Claw killed won't come back. And do you ever regret killing the human adults years earlier just to end the cycle of corruption so the human children won't grow up evil?" Loona says.

"I did regret it. Because the child cried when I didn't know he was in front me while I killed his parents. It scarred him for life, and now he's resting in a cryo-tube for years." Chloe explains.

"Well they started the war, they attacked us first but I don't blame the children." Nika says.

"The wars over years ago, and we should help the humans recover since they leaned their lesson."  Dasha says.

"That's what we are doing. Right now we have a little over  200,000 human children resting in our cryo-chambers  under our base and have 236 humans that are adults that are being holden in our care since we can't send them to Red Claw anymore which is a good thing." Chloe explains.

"Why don't we send them to our society now?" Loona asks

"We can't since Red claw could abduct them in the public." Krystal says.

"What about this child? We just can't put him in a cryo-chamber." Dasha says.

"We won't since General said, who ever we saved now will roam freely in our base, and this child is the key witness about the truth." Chloe says.

"Where is he going to go? He will be really afraid after what our kind sinned for killing in the war." Dasha says.

"Don't worry, I will assign him to stay with you guys after he recovers." Chloe says.

  Just then the helicopter lands and everyone got out. Dasha took the child to the medical wing, while the others went to go see Natalya.

  Natalya was in deep thought about the horrible war she remembered a few kids crying and being carried into military trucks. She got out of the though when Loona came in.

"Status report. How did go?" She asks.

  Loona then unloaded her backpack and placed classified information about Red claws secret of killing off the human race. Natalya noticed that Loona is very upset about the truth.

   She looked through the files and the pictures Nika took at the Red Claw base.  Natalya started to feel angry and sad of not knowing about it earlier and slammed the files closed.

"Loona, you're dismissed. I have to call President Laura about this. Tomorrow, your next mission to go a Red claw base in the south. That's where General Floyd is doing his speech and we need to capture him." Natalya explains.

"Understood General." Loona says as she left the office.

"What have we done?" Natalya says to herself.

Meanwhile...

   I finally drove back to my subway hideout after a good day of killing furs and saving some of my race. I was able to steal a military vehicle and a lot of supplies from the base. I started unloading and started stocking up my shelves. I took off my gear and hanged it up before sitting down and took my medicine to calm my PTSD down.

  I was starting to have some side effects and saw a flashback of me running from my house at a young age while a white polar bear runs after me. I shook it off and took some deep breaths. I got back up and grabbed a ready to eat meal from the shelf and started eating. I was desperate to find anything to eat besides rats or crows I can shoot down from the sky.

  After dinner, I went to the map room, I had a world map that I kept updated. North America was the only livable spot of furs and humans but the north of the continent represents civilization for anthros. No human is dared to go there. While the East and half of the southeast is occupied by red claw while the west and the southwest was occupied by the Sentinels. And the the rest of the world is wastelands. No life around those areas.

    I grabbed the map of the red claw bases are from my pocket and marked them on the world map. They are six remaining red claw bases while there are 5 sentinel bases as well since I was able to steal a map from the sentinels as well.

"I will kill you General Floyd, just you wait." I said as I left the room.
