Chapter 40

As they sat in car. One of Karan bouncer started driving the car. Anushka sat in the car with her head rested on window. It was raining slowly outside. It was saying that first rain brings good luck in one's life. She scarsticly smiled herself. She can't expect anything good happen to her right now. Life was exhausting, for her. She took sigh of disbelief. She didn't know how long she have to suffer from this. She can't stuck here for the rest of her life. I have to do something for myself. She make note in her mind.

They reached restaurant after hour. Karan lead Anushka to their table. They sat on the table with in second Waiter was there for their orders.

"What would you like to have baby?" He said in melodious tone. Anushka narrowed her eyes. He is the same guy who clutched her face as if it was just a piece of paper. And here he is behaving like, he is loving and caring partner. But she knew, it's fake.

"Order whatever you want!" Anushka said, not paying any attention to him. He glared at her.

"We will have sausage and mash" He ordered, and gestured waiter to leave. He tried hold Anushka's hand.

"If you want creat scenes here, then hold my hand!" Anushka said, raised her eyebrows. He gave her death stare, come home. He mouthed. She just ignored him like he doesn't exist anymore.

Their order arrived, Anushka didn't eat. Karan made her eat it forcefully, she ate some. After sometime Karan phone rang.

"John!!" He screamed for him. John came running from his seat. "I need to take this call, keep your eyes on her." He ordered to him, he nodded like an obedient servant. He left to attend phone call.

Anushka was looking around in restaurants, at that she spotted one couple. They were laughing out loud, guy was constantly cracking jokes. When waiter asked their order.

"let's order pizza, But Henry your diet" That girl said, making puppy face.

"I will eat for you but one condition! We are smashing gym tomorrow!!!" Boy said, and hugged his girl.

"Thank you, Thank you!!" Girl jumped with joy, clapping and kissed her boy.
Anushka smiled, it remained her moment with Virat when he agreed to have cheat day for here. Time can be hard on but thought of Virat always made her smile.
She admired that as much she could. After sometime Karan came he finished dinner.

"Let's go." He said and started walking, Anushka followed him. At the another part of restaurant alot of voice going on as if more than 20 people arrived at same time. That voice attracted Anushka, she looked at that direction but it was too far for her to look.

"Anushka!" Karan yelled at her, She didn't listen. She was kept looking at that direction. Karan dragged her with him, but gaze was still there. She didn't know why but she just wanted to run there. Aura of that space seems familiar. She stepped out of the restaurant but her eyes were still trying to catch glimpse of that group.

Karan gestured his bouncers to leave in other car at that time Karan phone rang.

"Son of bitch!" He crushed person otherside of call.
"Get into the car!" He said with same anger. He stepped far away to attend the call. Anushka didn't hear him, she was still thinking about that group. At that she heard another voice. Her heart skipped a beat. Her legs automatically followed the voice. The closer she got to voice, the more sure she knew it was his voice. Her steps became faster, she saw the source of the voice.

That body was familiar to her, and she knew it was him. She knew it was her Veer.

"Ro, they will here anytime come here and haan take Mahi bhai and harry along with you. We might need them" He heard her footsteps. Virat turned around. He couldn't believe his eyes. They both thought it was dream but it wasn't. They thought it was because reality was not this beautiful in past few months as it was at this moment.

They were 20 steps away.

Fifteen.
Ten.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
And they were at home again!
