Park Chaeyoung asks to leave the office early on a Thursday night and Jeon Jungkook happily obliges. He doesn't think to ask her why, figuring that she probably wanted rest or had other things to work on for her father's business, but when she excuses herself out, he notices that she's changed from her usual modest work clothes into a mid-thigh length bodycon dress and heels.

"Aren't you cold?" He questions her with a raised eyebrow.

Park Chaeyoung acrosses her arms shut before rolling her eyes before sarcastically commenting, "... why thank you, that's so nice of you to compliment me, Mr. Jeon. I'll be going now."

She reaches for a coat and scarf before heading out the door and moments later, Kim Seokjin emerges with his thumb pointing to her.

"Was that Miss Park?" He looks surprised, "... where is she going?"

He shrugs his shoulders.

Kim Seokjin believes it's time to push a few buttons, an idea popping into his head.

"Oh—I guess the rumours are true, she's going on a blind date tonight," he comments nonchalantly before heading out.

Through from the window, he can see the frown across his bosses face, and worse—his ears turn bright pink.

Bingo.

It's 8pm and Jeon Jungkook finds the lousiest excuses to message her, but she hasn't replied to a single text. He doesn't know why, but he's beginning to feel uneasy, as adrenaline rushes through his chest.

By 10pm, he finally gets a text from her.

From: Chaeyoung

Fauk yuo, its oyutside woraking hourz!!

For a second, Jeon Jungkook finds himself chuckling, finding it kind of cute. Until strange thoughts came in his head.

Was she getting drunk with a man?

What if something happened to her?

He decides to swallow his pride and sends her a text back.

To: Chaeyoung

Where are you, Ms Park?

Are you drinking?

Hello?

He watches as his message is delivered, and then read—but she doesn't reply.

It's 11pm now, and somehow he's still sitting on the couch waiting for her reply back.

He calls her, and she picks up in the first ring, only to be responded to by another woman's voice.

"Hello? This is Jennie, Rosie's friend. She's a little drunk right now so we've confiscated her phone, can you please stop messaging?"

From the background, he can hear her I am not drunk! yelling.

Adorable.

"Oh, yes, hello I'm Jungkook. I work with her, we live in the same building. Can you send me your location? I will take her home."

-

Complicated.

There is no words to describe the pair, when Park Chaeyoung wakes up in her bed wearing the clothes from last night, a painkiller on the beside next to her and a note that read:

Feel free to come to work a little late.

Jeon Jungkook.

She groans out loud before hitting herself with the pillow, wondering whether it was possible to reverse time.

As if the pair didn't already stand on uncertain grounds, she's certainly made things more confusing. Park Chaeyoung has a bad reputation when it comes to her tolerance with alcohol, and she should've known better, that when she's out with Jennie Kim and Lalisa Manoban, that she should have her phone entirely off.

Getting up, she drinks the pain killer before bracing herself for what she assumes will be torment.

Jeon Jungkook cannot help but think that there's nothing cuter in the world than a drunk Park Chaeyoung. She was rambling in the car about how she really believes in free education for all before suddenly crying in the front passenger seat of his car. He'd pulled over on the side and asked her what was wrong, and she turned to him with tears running down her eyes, "... sober Chaeyoung will be so angry that drunk Chaeyoung let you see me like this!"

He couldn't help but feel all the annoyance in his body leave the moment she said that.

So fricken cute.

After that, it was like nothing happened and she started yelling at him about how his company only did red and white wines, whereas she felt as though he needed to release a rosé, at least.

Somewhere between her jumping back and forth between crying and rambling, Park Chaeyoung had fallen asleep, except her hand had reached over to his. He couldn't help but hold on tight, thinking that the feeling wasn't so bad after all.

When he got to her door, she turned and told him that she was thankful for him and everything that she'd learned under him.

She walks in at 12:30PM on the dot and to the naked eye, she looked as normal but he notices the redness of her face and the way her eyes were swollen red.

"Good afternoon Mr. Jeon, sorry for coming in lat—"

"I'm surprised you came here before lunch time," he tells her, "... are you feeling okay?"

She nods, a sheepish yet award chuckle from her lips, "... I'm sorry about last night. My friends got carried away, Jennie told me that you offered to take me home so thank you for that."

"Ms. Park," he looks at her, "... do you remember the things that you said last night?"

She winces, as though she was in pain, but he knows it's simply regret.

"I will reflect more on my poor drinking habits, Mr. Jeon," she tells him.

"You were very cute, last night."

Unexpectedly cute.
