C H A P T E R 6

"I'm sorry," I say I was trying so hard to not cry but I was, how could I be so stupid this is real life, not a dream, lovers never win.

Nancy wheeler's pov
Steve said he was inviting a new girl over to my sleepover, he said that she works with him at scoops ahoy. I spend an hour tidying up my room and then I just wait Steve is of course the first one to arrive. Steve can be a dick sometimes but he's fine half of the time. I and steve just sit down on the bed and began to talk

"So, how are you and Jonathan doing?" Steve ask
"What are you jealous?" I tease
"What no just asking."
"Fine, we're doing fine it's just that he doesn't even try to talk to me you know? It's like he's trying to avoid me or something."
"Maybe he's busy you know?"
No, he's probably not he probably hates you Nancy he probably-

My thoughts get interrupted by a woman standing in the doorway. A very pretty woman with short hair that barely touched her shoulders wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Steve notices the girl and jumps up and runs over to her.
"Hello! Nancy this is Robin." I get up to greet the lovely girl
"Hello as he said I am Nancy, nice meeting you." A few minutes after she says
"Wow." Oh no I have definitely made the wrong impression, but who cares anyw-
"What?" I say
"This room is very tacky." Oh god maybe my room is too childish, Mike always says it looks like a 5-year-olds bedroom, which I often disagree with mike, mike can be a little bitch sometimes not going to lie.

Later we all start talking, god this robin person can talk up a storm it's pretty hard to keep up. But her stories are pretty funny and she is kinda cute when she tells them-
Suddenly I see a person standing at the door I had completely forgotten another girl was coming.
Nancy gets up from the floor and immediately hugs the mystery girl

The girl stood tall wearings some trendy thrift store clothes and a lot of jewelry
"Guys this is the one and only amazing Tammy Thompson!"
"Hello I'm Nancy"
"Oh yeah, I know you from science class!" I certainly do not remember this girl.

After fighting with mike over fifty dollars, god mike pisses me off sometimes.
"Hey, Steve want to go make some popcorn for the horror movie?"
Steve just nods and follows me downstairs lucky my mom and dad are asleep so we have the kitchen to ourselves I look for the popcorn bag
"Maybe we should make two bags?"
"Oh yeah? Why?"
"For mike."
"You're going make him popcorn after he robbed you?"

I roll my eyes and put the popcorn in the microwave
"Seems like robin and that Tammy girl are close"
"Yeah I mean robin has had a cru-."
"What?"

"Oh it's just that robin has wanted to be friends with her for years now"
"Oh cool." I say taking out the bag of popcorn "make yourself useful and grab two bowls would you?"
"Damn okay, I will so nance how are you liking robin so far?" He says grabbing the bowls and putting them down on the counters.
"Yeah, she's cool" and pretty.

Finally, both the bags were done "okay let's go give one to mike."
We make our way downstairs into the basement and see BLEH- mike and eleven kissing on the couch "Ew mike what the hell" I say He stops kissing eleven and looks up at me
"What do you want? I never said ew when you and Steve were kissing, and you guys kissed ALOT."
I blush a little "um excuse me and that is a lie."
Steve just stands in silence looking like he was about to die of laughter
"What do you guys want? Like are you just going stand there?"

"We were going to give you popcorn," Steve says
"Where's will?"
"The bathroom I think he looked like he was about to cry as he ran away but I don't know," Mike says
"Let me get this straight your best friend just ran away looking like he was about to cry and you didn't even go after him?"
"Nope."
"Eleven will is literally your brother."
Eleven just shrugs "Steve go give your bowl of popcorn to the girls I'm going find will," I say
Mike and el go back to kissing "get a room" I hear Steve yell as he's going up the stairs Mike flips him off from behind.
