Our Happy Ending

I woke up to movement making me quickly sit up as I saw Murphy chugging down his water as I sighed seeing another glass but before I could grab it, he picked it up and handed it to me 

Murphy- you look nice, but that jacket throws off the look

Phoneix- I refuse to take it off, thank you and you look not yourself

Murphy- why? something off?

Phoneix- everything is off

he chuckles as I drink the water sighing in containment as the cool liquid hits the back of my throat, I got to take a good look at him. he was wearing this hoodie thing with a grey shirt, a nice jacket along with cleaned pants and his hair was nicely pushed back, I would be lying if I said he didn't look good. he picked up the apple looking at me as he handed me mine before standing with his as he turned to eat it but stopped, I took a bite of mine and stood up turning in the direction he was facing only to see Jaha sitting on the floor on his knees making me confused. I followed him as he walked to Jaha

Murphy- Jaha? *whistles* hey wake up

we got closer and Jaha was sitting there with his hands folded on his lap and his eyes were closed, I took another bite out of my apple as I stared at him

Woman- Thelonious isn't here, John.

I whipped my head around seeing the woman from earlier standing behind us, Murphy turned to her as well 

Alie- he's in the City of Light

Phoneix- *whispers* holy shit, it's the robot from the video-

Murphy- I know what you are *throws his apple at her which goes right through her*

Phoneix- hey, I could have eaten that! *groans and takes bite of apple*

Murphy looked at me like I was dumb before turning back to the woman, we know as Becca. 

Alie- it's refreshing to be around people who understand technology again

I heard footsteps turning my head to see Jaha walking over as I wiped my mouth 

Jaha- let us explain

Murphy- that's a good idea, why don't you start with why you kept us locked in a bunker while you were here living like a king?

I looked around and put my apple down on this mantle thing before standing next to Murphy again

Jaha- the outside world means nothing. In the City of Light, we are all kings.

Phoneix- that was not answering the question but okay 

Murphy- *ignores her* and here I thought, I was the one losing my mind

Alie- it's the truth. I can show you

I looked at her again confused on what the actual fuck was happening

Phoneix- you know she's the one who launched the bombs that ended the world, right?

Jaha- wrong.

I looked at him like he was completely stupid as Jaha moved to Alie 

Jaha- she didn't end the world, she saved it

Phoneix- am I the only one here with my fucking sanity still intact?!

Murphy looked at Jaha and Becca with the same look he had on before, confusion and annoyance. 

Murphy- I'm so out of here

Murphy started walking as I followed behind him not going to let him go alone. I heard footsteps and Alie say something, but I didn't bother listening as I walked along side Murphy. we walked all the way back to where the bunker and boat were, it had already turned night when we made it there. Murphy sat down on this big log, and I sat next to him putting my hands in the pockets of the jacket since it was freezing outside
