THEY ENTERED THE HOUSE WITH THEIR LANTERNS, trying to get a hit on where Vecna was. It's Erica who picks up on his location and they head to the first floor where her lantern was buzzing. Max steps near the spot and her own lantern starts to buzz.
Erica holds up a notepad with the words PHASE ONE on it. They all read it and exchange silent nods. Erica gives the last nod as she takes off running outside toward the abandoned playground near the house.
Danielle nudges Angela and she shrugs her shoulders at her. Danielle rolls her eyes as she pulls out a notebook and writes on it.
GO WITH HER
Angela grabs her notebook and hastily writes down.
SHE'S FINE
She then flips over a page.
EACH MAYFIELD GETS A SINCLAIR ASSIGNED TO THEM TO PREVENT THEM FROM DOING SOMETHING STUPID
Angela aggressively flips another page.
LIKE DYING
Angela then turns another page before flipping the notebook toward Danielle so she can read it.

Danielle reads the last page with a small smile on her lips and looks up at Angela who flexes her arms and makes a scary face at Danielle. The eldest Mayfield sister places her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing.
Angela smiles at her and the two of them glance over at their siblings who were awkwardly sitting across from one another. The faint music from Danielle's Walkman and Max's was the only thing that filled the room.
Max looks up and does a double-take when she finds Angela and Danielle staring at her. She makes a face at them and they both hold their hands up innocently. Danielle grabs her notebook and writes down.
TALK TO HIM
Max's brows furrow and Danielle's eyes dart over to Lucas who was looking around the room. Max sighs and rolls her eyes as she grabs her notepad and writes something down.
Angela grabs her notepad and writes

Danielle smiles.

She then writes-

Angela smiles widely as she quickly writes.

Danielle reads the note and her nose scrunches as she shakes her head quickly. Angela holds a hand over her chest with an insulted expression on her face.
