Birthday Celebration with New Secrets!

After the events of bombing case of what Moriya Teiji did to his buildings and challenging Shinichi. The Kudou brothers are now practically sleeping at their home. Even though today was their birthday, they want to have full rest instead of party since they are stuck for questioning at police headquarters until 7 AM, but they promise their friends for dinner as a birthday celebration and Detective boys forcing them so Conan has no choice to let them

Conan woke up and see the clock which to be 2 PM, so he quickly gets up to wash himself and prepare for the dinner celebration. Moments later, Ran comes in the house of course with few groceries in hand which surprise her to see Conan already do the preparing

"You are always one step ahead, Conan-kun" said Ran smiling
"Might as well be ready, Genta eats a lot" said Conan smiled as he's done cutting
"But today is your birthday, you shouldn't do those things. Not to mention, you are still hurt"
"Hahaha it's just a birthday Ran-neechan, it's not that big a deal"
"Even though you are happy getting a present from Shinichi"

Conan slightly blush by Ran's mocking about his birthday present from Shinichi, to which Conan just continue cutting onions while Ran giggle by the reaction. Suddenly someone comes in which to be Shinichi who's rubbing his eyes

"What? You two already preparing for dinner?" asked Shinichi in low voice
"You finally wake up, might as well help us around with cleaning?" asked Conan unhappy
"Yes yes... On my way"

Shinichi goes away as he yawned. The sight make Ran giggle seeing it which make Conan surprised by the sudden laugh

"What's wrong Ran-neechan?" asked Conan
"Ah... It's just funny on how you change over the year" said Ran smiles
"Eh?"

Ran just smile as she continued her cooking leaving the confused boy just sigh

Time Skip~

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONAN/-KUN!" shout Ayumi, Mitsuhiko and Genta together

All three of them shout at him as Conan open the door for them which is very funny scene

"Oi oi you are all very hype there" said Conan smile seeing his friends
"Of course! After all, we have a present for you!" said Genta happily

Moments later, Professor Agasa arrive with a white box on his hands which confuse the brothers. Professor Agasa open the box which show a white cake with some decorations around it. The decorations were Sherlock Holmes themed and glasses on the side

"Ayumi-chan's mother help us to make this cake while the decorations we ask Professor Agasa to buy it. We thought that it might be not enough so we also bought you this" said Mitsuhiko as he gave a small box
"This is..." said Conan surprised

Conan opens the box and surprisingly to be a little notebook that almost identical to his own notebook

"Luckily we found it in the bookstore, so inside that notebook you can put your detective badge in it!" said Ayumi happily
"We combine our money together to buy this!" said Genta proudly
"Seriously you guys... How did you know that I almost run out of paper in my own notebook" said Conan smirk
"Haibara-san told us about it. He said that he notice that you only have around five papers left in your notebook" said Mitsuhiko smile
"Ai-chan did go to my house to help us make your present" said Ayumi smiling
"Hahaha thank you guys for all of this" said Conan smile
"Well then, shall we eat?" asked Professor Agasa
"YES!"

Shinichi and Ran who sees the scene can't help to smile. Conan really got great friends that will do anything for him like he would do it for them. Both Shinichi and Ran stay in the counter and they see the kids are talking to each other, especially Conan who seems happy having them around
