XIII- Arohi

Chapter 13: Abhimanyu calls off the alliance. Arohi creates a ruckus!

Recap: Birlas and Arohi are shocked to know the status of Guptas. Arohi is extremely jealous and misbehaves with Akshara in their room. She accidently reveals that she never loved Abhimanyu. Akshara is shocked and slaps Arohi. She feels dejected knowing that she let go of her love for her sister's obsession. She has an argument with Arohi and leaves the room.

Abhimnayu learns the truth about Sirat's death and Arohi's MD incident from Neil. He rushes to meet Akshara and finds her on the verge of panic attack. He takes her to the terrace and the two have a conversation, mainly about Arohi and Akshara. Akshara reveals about the vow. Abhimanyu talks to her and helps Akshara let go of the past. Finally, Akshara decides to chose herself and be free from the childhood burdens.

Akshara and Abhimanyu sat on the terrace for a long time. None saying anything. They were just letting the conversation sink in and enjoying the warmth of each other's presence. They had had this coldness between them for quiet sometime now and after all these painful weeks, they both felt the distance melt. Akshara knew Abhimanyu would break his alliance soon so he would not be becoming her brother-in-law; this thought sent her relief. Abhimanyu too realized why Akshara rejected him and that she must have felt something strong for him to jump inside the fire.. He wanted to think she loved him but now he knew better than to name her feelings before talking to her.

They sat like that, in comfortable silence, for a while when Abhimanyu spoke.

Abhimanyu: We should go downstairs. Tumhe khana kha kr medicine bhi leni hai...

Akshara nodded and they both started to go downstairs. They were walking side by side, feeling at peace when they noticed the tense mood in the hall.

Everyone was standing- almost. Suhasini was sitting down with Mahima who had a very bored expression on her face. Everyone else was crowded together.

Abhimanyu: Kya ho raha hai yahan?

The crowd parted and they could now see a crying Arohi sitting on the sofa. Birlas and Goenkas had gathered around her. She met Akshara's eyes and smirked, then she resumed her expression of a grieving person.

Akhilesh: Ye kyu kiya tumne Akshara?

Akhilesh was the first person to blast at her.

Kairav: AG pehle pooch toh lijiye Akshu se ki isne kiya bhi hai ya nahi...

Akhilesh: Aru ne abhi bataya na....aur iske gaal pr ye nishan nahi dikh raha tumhe..

Sure enough, there was a handprint on Arohi's cheek.

Akshara: aap thappad ki baat kr rahe ho toh haan, maara maine Arohi ko thappad!

Goenkas were baffled to hear this. Akhilesh started to scold her and Arohi resumed her crying, louder this time.

Akshara: Ek second!!! Maine aaj tk kbhi bhi Arohi ko maara hai?....Bachpan me khel-khel me bhi nahi! Toh apme se kissi ke bhi dimag me ye nahi aaya ki isne aisa kiya kya hoga ki maine pehli baar haath uthaya? Bs sbko mujhe hi sunana hai!...Kbhi kbhi lgta hai ki mai toh is ghar ki kuch hoon hi nahi...bs bardash krte ho kyunki mai apki beti Arohi ka punching bag hoon!!

Manish: Akshara!!

He was furious! Her words hurt his ego. Moreover, he felt ashamed in front of Birla.

Swarna: Ye kaise baaten kr rahi ho? Maaji kya ho gaya hai iss ladki ko..

Suhasini: Pta nahi, ye toh kbhi aise bartav nahi krti thi...accha hua Guptas apne ghar chale gaye warna kitni bezatti hoti...
