Hyunjin searched for his angry mate. He looked first in their room and then checked the common rooms and didn't find him. He was such a jealous idiot. He shook his head at himself. He had allowed himself to get so caught up in the new mate energy that it made him careless towards others. He still didn't like that cat, but he shouldn't have said what he did.

He'll have to apologize at some point.

He growled in frustration, where was Felix?

As he walked around, he heard the sound of children playing and Hyunjin wanted to smack himself for not thinking of it earlier. Felix liked helping out with the younger children. Walking over to the pre-school area, Hyunjin watched his errant mate playing tag with the younger children in the playroom. He couldn't help but smile as the koala wore a blindfold and walked in circles trying to find the giggling babies around him. The kids couldn't help but giggle whenever Felix failed to grab them, giving their position away, only to dodge his arms again.

Hyunjin watched for a little bit, a smile on his face, and when he noticed his mate getting tired, he quietly walked in, his finger to his lips to keep the children from giving him away. The kids giggled more but kept quiet about the new visitor.

"I'm gonna get you," Felix called as he swung his arms around, trying to feel if a child was near. Only giggles answered his call. To his surprise, large arms wrapped around him causing him to yelp. "What?" startled Felix ripped off his blindfold only to see his ferret mate holding him.

"Jinnie!" Felix was shocked that his mate had snuck up on him. He then scowled, "Let go,"

"No, I need to talk to you." The ferret said.

"So you can say more mean things?" Felix asked, giving his mate an unforgiving stare.

Hyunjin breathed out hard, "No, to apologize," he tilted his head down to show his shame at his behavior.

"Come on," Felix said quietly, taking his mate's hand. They waved goodbye to the kids and left the playroom. They walked outside where they could talk in private.

Felix stopped and faced his jealous mate, crossing his arms. "Well?"

"I'm sorry for being a jerk," Hyunjin started. His shoulders slumped under the weight of Felix's disapproving stare.

"Did you apologize to Jungkook?" Felix asked.

He shook his head, "No, I came to find you first."

Felix watched Hyunjin for a moment, taking note of his contrite posture. It seemed that his mate really did feel bad for what he said.

"Why would you say something so mean?" the koala asked.

Hyunjin let out a deep breath, "I'm sorry for being jealous. I didn't like another strange hybrid trying to take you away from us," he murmured. Hyunjin turned red as he confessed the shame of being jealous to his newest mate.

Felix wrapped his arms around Hyunjin, "I'm not in danger of going anywhere. I love you and nobody is going to take me away from you." Felix's eyes captured his worried mate. "But I don't like when you are mean to others. You have a good heart, but you need to show that. Jungkook is clearly not used to trusting others and you didn't help that today. I was so disappointed in you today"

"I know," Hyunjin nodded. He felt awful that he had disappointed his mate so thoroughly. He leaned his head on Felix's shoulder, trying to hide his shame and cuddle for reassurance. Felix rubbed his back until the ferret started to loosen up and relax.

"Big baby," the koala muttered.

"Your big baby," the ferret agreed.

Felix rolled his eyes, "come on, let's go find Bang Chan." Taking the ferret's hand, they left the children's play area.
