18. The heavy storm

What was that....

"The storm is here," Jayden said

"What was that loud bang?" Kayla asked

"I thought you and dad sorted everything out before yall came in," Jax asked Zayn

"We did, I think it was a tree brunch that probably fell," Zayn said

I got up from the floor and took a look out the window and got shocked at what I saw. Zayn was right. A tree brunch did fall, but on a car, one of our cars

"Um.. Zayn, " I called him

He got up and looked out the window as well and saw what had happened

"Oh crap.." I heard him say

"What happened?"

Just as Jayden asked that, there was another flash of lightning and a crack of thunder. I didn't mind cold and windy days, but I didn't like it when it was storming. It's just too loud

"A tree brunch did fall, but on your car," Zayn said

"What!" Jayden got up fast to take a look outside

Jayden walked away from the window in a calm manner, which surprised me. He just saw his car get crushed by a big tree brunch, and his so calm about it

We all turned our heads when we heard footsteps running down the stairs. It was Shaun. He ran to the kitchen and was there for a bit, then came back to us

"Boys, there is a very big storm coming and it might last for 3 days, so I'm gonna have to put the power off and only put it back on when the girls need to cook. So go get all the warm blankets we have, and y'all can sit here until supper, okay?" Shaun explained

"How are we going to go to the shops on Sunday?" Jax asked

"Like I said, 3 days, the weather should clear out on Saturday so Sunday we can still go," Shaun said

"Okay,"

"I'm going back up to Annabelle now. We'll come down when they need to cook," Shaun said before leaving

"Alright, guys, let's go get the blankets. Girls, could y'all move the table on the table so that there is space on the carpet?" Jayden asked

We both nodded our heads, and the boys went up to get the blankets. Kayla was about to move the table, but I stopped her and told her to sit on one side so that she didn't get hurt

"Angel, the table is very heavy. It looks small, but it's heavy, " she said

"It's fine, I'll move it. I dont want you to put strain on yourself or on the baby, " I told her

I picked both my sleeves up and was ready to pick the table up, but before I could, I froze and felt a weird feeling in my throat. I quickly cleared my throat and pushed that feeling away. I slowly picked the table up, and damn kayla was right. This table is heavy

"Be careful, Angel," Kayla said

I lifted up the table from the floor and slowly moved the table to the side in between the single couch and the 3 seater couch. I put the table down and just stood there for a second

WOOOOOOOW THAT TABLE WAS SOOO HEAVY.. GOSHHH!

I let out a sigh and turned to go back to kayla. I looked up and saw Jayden and Jax standing there with blankets in their hands

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Did you move it by yourself?" Jax asked

"Yes, I didn't want kayla to get hurt, so I said I'll do it. Was I not supposed to?" I asked again
