19. Kayla's baby

It's now the second day of the storm. Everything is going as well as they can possibly go. The boys were playing cards in the living room on the floor while Kayla and I were in the kitchen. We were just talking about the days when we were in school but decided to make something to eat

"Oh, I got it, how about... brownies?" Kayla asked in an excited tone

"That's great, but do they have the ingredients we need for brownies?" I asked

"No," her face dropped from, excited to disappoint in less than a second

"Alright, wanna try... pancakes, I guess?" I asked

I ran out of options since there's not many ingredients for his to cook with. We are limited to a few things

"Yea, I guess that's okay," she said, sounding more disappointed

I smiled at her and got the ingredients and out them on the counter

"Remember that one time I stayed over at your place, and we did like a whole bake off?" She said with a big smile on her face

"Of course I remember. We ended up with so much, so we had a movie marathon just to finish it all, " I said, laughing a bit

She smiled and turned to start making the batter. She made the batter, and I washed up as she was done using the stuff and putting it away

"Done," she said, showing me the batter

Now we just had the batter left on the counter

"I'll get a pan," I said

I went to get a pan from one of the drawers when I heard a splash on the floor. I turned around and saw Kayla leaning on the counter, slowly going down onto the floor, holding her belly

"Kayla, oh my gosh." I left the pan and ran over to her

Sh*t. Her water broke

Kayla started crying because of the pain. I held onto her hand to comfort her. We need to get her to the bed. She started crying even more now

"Jaydennn!!!" I screamed for him,"Jayden hurried!!"

Not even a few seconds after Jayden came running into the kitchen and got down on his knees. I was on the floor with kayla, still going her hand

"Her water broke," I told him

The expression on his face was so shocking. It looked like he was shocked as well but mostly scared. I've never seen him like this

"Okay, let's take her to the room," he said

He got up and picked Kayla up bridal style and walked out the kitchen. I followed behind him into his room. He put kayla down on the bed and took a step back

"I'm going to call dad," he said before leaving the room

I ran over to kayla's side and gently stacked up some pillows behind her head and back, just enough so that she's not lying straight down. Jayden came running back into the room with Shaun, Zayn, and Jax behind him.

"Jax, go get some towels. Zayn, go get Kayla some water, Jayden. You gonna help me deliver the baby?" Shaun said

Jayden had so much fear on his face, but he shook it off and went to help Shaun. I went down where Kayla's knees were

"Lift your knees up and spread your legs a bit," she did as I told her

I went back up and sat beside her, holding her hand. I looked down at her and she looked scared and she was crying, there's only one thing I hope doesn't happen
