We finally landed in Florida and Cason is super whiny. He had slept most of the flight but about an hour from landing, he woke up and was just crying. It was early so that could be part of it but he was also cramped in his seat so I know his knee is probably hurting.

Once we grabbed our bags from baggage claim, we headed to car rentals. Ashton followed behind me, carrying Cason's carseat since I was pushing the stroller with Cason in it.

We got to the rental desk and I gave them my information and my work information. They looked through the computer and then handed me keys,

"You have a Jeep and it's in spot 29," the lady told me. I thanked her and we headed into the parking garage, locating the car,

"I hope all our stuff fits" Ashton spoke,

"We'll have to use the backseat" I shrugged. Ashton nodded and went to put Cason's carseat in while I started loading our luggage. Once he finished that, he got Cason out of the stroller and got him buckled in before meeting me back at the trunk,

"We can put the backpacks and Cas's suitcase in the backseat so we can get the stroller in" he suggested seeing I was contemplating how to put the stroller in. I nodded and grabbed the backpacks and Cas's bag out and stepped to the side. Ashton folded up the stroller and easily put it in and shut the trunk. We then got the other bags in the backseat and shut that door,

"Do you want me to drive?" he asked with a laugh. I nodded, gave him the keys, and kissed his cheek. He chuckled and we both got into the car. I took a glance back at Cason and saw he was already asleep again.

I hooked up my phone to the carplay and got the map to the hotel pulled up,

"It's two hours. I guess we can stop and grab something to eat on the way. Maybe just drive-thru" I suggested,

"Whatever is fine baby" Ashton smiled, taking my hand once we were out of the garage, "I guess it'll depend on if Cas has woken up or not"

"Yeah" I laughed, "I have no clue why he's so grumpy. My guess is his knee hurts and he's tired"

"Maybe we can go to the pool at the hotel when we get there. Maybe he just needs to do something" Ashton shrugged, making me nod.

We finally got to our hotel and checked in. We were given our room keys and headed up to the fifth floor,

"We're supposed to have a suite," I told Ashton,

"Suites are so nice" he smiled,

"Go pool?" Cason chirped, now in a better mood,

"Yeah, we will go to the pool. Let's go see our room first" I told him,

"Ashy go swim too?" he asked Ashton,

"Yeah buddy, I'll go swimming with you" Ashton promised. Cason giggled and nodded.

We got off the elevator and headed toward our room. I was letting Cason lead the way and having him try to figure out what the number looked like.  We've been working on letters and numbers so I'm trying to let him learn as much as he can.

"Find it!" Cason grinned, looking at Ashton and me, "Five, two, four"

"Good job dude!" Ashton grinned and high-fived him. I kissed Cason's head and then opened the door for us. Cason walked in first, followed by Ashton and me.

The room was really nice. It had a kitchen and living area right as you walked in the door. Right off the living and kitchen area was a bedroom with two beds in it and a full bathroom,

"This is nice" Ashton spoke, dropping our bags on the bed then hugging me, "You don't have to work until tomorrow right?"

"Right" I smiled and turned in his arms. Right as I went to kiss him, Cason walked in and grabbed Ashton's leg,

"Go swim" he pouted. Both Ashton and I chuckled,

"Let's get bathing suits on," I told him. Cason grinned and dragged his suitcase to us.

Once we were all changed, we headed down to the pool. After we claimed seats, I took Cason's brace off and got sunscreen and his floatie put on him,

"Can you?" Ashton asked, handing me the other sunscreen and sitting with his back to me. I put sunscreen on him and he stood,

"Thank you" he leaned down and pecked my lips, "You getting in with us?"

"I will in a minute," I told him. He nodded and turned to Cason, taking his hand and heading to the pool.

Ashton and Cason got in and began playing around. Cason kept splashing Ashton and Ashton would make a big scene out of it, making my son erupt with giggles.

I'm so grateful Ashton came into our lives. It was like we needed him. My life and Cason's became better when Ashton walked into them. I can never be more grateful than I am for the fact that Ashton is the best father for Cason. He stepped into that role so quick with no hesitation. And Cason loves him, he truly loves him.

I continued to watch my two favorite guys with a happy smile. Ashton and I made eye contact and he grinned, motioning me to join them. I slowly got off my chair and made my way into the pool and over to them,

"Hi Mommy" Cason giggled, holding onto Ashton's hand as he floated. Ashton kissed my lips and held me to his side.

I laid my head against Ashton's shoulder as Cason swam away. He's not really using his legs to swim, it's all arms. He can't really move his bad leg all that much anyway still,

"This is good physical therapy for him" Ashton joked,

"As long as he moves his leg around then yeah" I laughed back, "It's a good thing we brought the stroller or he'd be in pain and miserable at Disney"

"I know. If the plane was that bad, Disney is going to be really bad" Ashton agreed, "Hopefully by the end of the trip he's doing better"

"I hope"

We got Cason in bed early. While he was asleep in the room, Ashton and I were watching tv in the main area, sharing the occasional kiss,

"You worried about work tomorrow?" Ashton asked, his fingers trailing up and down my arm,

"A little just because of New York but I know Zach is not involved here at all" I shrugged,

"Call me if anything happens or seems weird" he spoke,

"I will babe" I assured and pressed a kiss to his jaw,

"You're all good to hang with Cas tomorrow?" I questioned,

"Of course. I love Cas" he nodded,

"Thank you for always being so good with him. I mean truly good with him. You're patient and you get he's a toddler and things happen. I've been around people who will literally tell him to shut up or will push him away"

"Baby, I love that kid like he's my own blood- and I always will. I didn't say put me on his birth certificate for no reason. I truly want to be the best dad to him and for him. I want to be there for him when he starts sports or goes to school. I want him to know that people do love him and the people that matter stay" Ashton spoke, making me tear up.

Ashton softly smiled and pulled me into his lap and hugged me,

"And you" he smiled, pushing a piece of hair back from my face, "You're someone I've always needed in my life. I love you so fucking much it's unreal. You have the biggest heart and have been so strong. You are resilient. And you love better than anyone. You know how to love and that's something that's hard to find- but I found that with you. You've shown me true love and I will forever be grateful for that"

"Oh my god I fucking love you" I whispered, pressing a hard kiss to his lips. Ashton kissed back with the same force, slipping his tongue past my lips, causing a moan to escape my lips,

"We better stop before we wake Cas" Ashton chuckled,

"We should probably get to bed too" I laughed,

"Then let's get in bed and cuddle the cutest kid in the world"
