Many thoughts were racing through Emery's head, she thought she may have been dreaming; unsure if it was a nightmare or fantasy.

But it was real; she could feel Eric's strong body pressed up against her as his hands roved, making her stomach flutter and drop.
She could smell his intoxicating scent.

"Eric, no, no, stop." She said pushing him away, finally.

"What are you frigid too Stiff?" He asked smiling a little, leaning in again to kiss her.
Panicked, she didn't just slap him, she punched him straight in the jaw. It sent him stumbling back a little, holding his jaw and looking at her, shocked to say the least.

"What did we just talk about, Jesus Emery I sometimes feel like I'm speaking to a pole rather than a human being," He said angrily.

"What the fuck Eric, seriously you want to kiss me now. I don't get you, one minute you're threatening me the next minute you're pinning me up against a wall and kissing me. You hurt Al, Eric, I must have punched out your brain if you think I would even be interested in coming from 5 miles of you", she spat, she didn't know if it was necessarily the truth, but she was just angry.

For a moment, he just stared at her, but the next minute, he was smiling cunningly, laughing a little.

"You're not interested?" He asked, raising his eyebrow as he smirked. He inched closer to her, like a wolf targeting his prey.
She took a step back but instantly hit the wall.

"No", she stated firmly, it was mostly true. He shrugged as he took a final step before trapping her on the wall again.

"Then why did I feel you kiss me back? If you were so uninterested, why didn't you push me off straight away? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure that kiss lasted for a long time. I'm also pretty sure, I felt your tongue slip into-" His words bubbled s rage inside of her, and once again, as if her body wasn't her own; she punched him again. Once she did, she let out a deep breath, as if she held her breath around him.
He retaliated instantly, pinning her up against the wall, this time with his forearm across her throat. "Careful Initiate, you don't think I'll punish you, do you?"

"I don't care what you do, just never ever come close to me ever again" She hissed, shoving him out of the way and making her way toward the Pit.

"So what did he say to you?" Christina asked.

"Just to watch where I tread", Emery lied.

"That's it?"

"Yeah," She said shrugging, not making eye contact.

"Seriously, you hit him and get off without a scratch but Al looks at him and he gets slaughtered. You may have a death wish but I sure as hell don't think Eric's going to grant it."

"Maybe he's nervous about hitting a girl?" It was a stupid statement, but she didn't want to add wood to an already smoking fire.

"Or maybe, and most likely, he has a little crush?" Christina said smiling, Emery couldn't tell if it was a joke, but she completely froze and just laughed nervously.

"Sure, and mermaids are real". Emery replied, Christina smiled as she changed the subject; but Emerys mind couldn't be shaken from Eric.

"OK today were going to try something a little different" Eric began, Four looked at him curiously, not really sure what he was on about. "Some of you are going to be fighting the Dauntless born". The words elicited shortness of breath and murmurs for the initiates.
Four instantly shot Emery a glance. He knew as well as she this was not a good thing for her. Eric enjoyed and thrived in revenge. He obviously had a show planned. "As this is a new thing we are testing, only one of you is going to be our little hamster to try the little experiment." Eric smiled evilly. "You will be going against Brock". Eric said, his eyes finding Emery through the crowd and smirking.
Shit.
Brock was tall, a huge human being who looked as if he liked to play Russian roulette in his spare time; he had a few scars on his face and body, which people speculated were from a underground fighting ring. They obviously weren't, but that's what he looked like, looked like he had been fighting ever since he could hold his own head up.
