" you can afford not playing against Colombia?" " I'm sure plus I want to be there when your mother chases you down the street and finally meet cam in person when he can talk to me." " you haven't seen cam since we did the promise rings." " yeah now let's get on the plane."

And so we get to the airport and to our gate with five minutes to go.

" I hope your moms still like me." " they will. They loved you last time and this time is no different the only thing different is your hand is about four ounces heavier.

" mom" I shout when I see my mom. I drop my bag accidentally on t's foot in my haste. I jump on my mom forgetting she's almost half a foot shorter than me. " hey." She grunts out catching me. " oops sorry." I say letting my feet hit the ground. " it's not been that long." " yes mom it has. It's been two month since I left home for America and we never talk and when we do it to short and so much has happened and I miss you and cam not mama as much but still." " I get it honey." She says.

We somehow end up in the car. And I'm in the backseat how dare they.  

Mama let's us in with cam rushing out the door. I agin drop my bag and chase after him.

He tackles me into the yard and I roll over so he's in the grass laughing. " hey cam bud we don't chew on other people shirts." I say laughing a little. He says sorry but goes back to sucking his thumb.

Before I have even unpacked my stuff mama comes bursting into the room and shouts " you are a liar. A baby faced don't talk to your mother liar." I give her a look with a raised eyebrow as she starts laughing. " what." " your girlfriend has a rock on her hand and you didn't think to tell me." " that's why she's here on this trip I'm sorry for not telling you." " yeah. Your forgiven I'm glad your back and we aren't in camp for a few days." She tackles me onto the bed. T walks in and says " only I can do that." " you are so dead tierna lillis Davidson I'm giving you ten seconds! Run!"

I don't know if I should laugh or chase them. " grace!" " yes mom." I say sitting on the counter. " what did you or tierna say to have Viv chasing here?" " Um she said only I can do that when mama had me pinned to the mattress." Mom starts laughing and says " my dad made the mistake of chasing your mother. Turns out she's faster with out a ball and that's scary but she's never going to hurt your fiancé she's just going to give her the second shovel talk." " I'm so dead when her parents find out aren't I." " your not fully alive right now."

Her attention is pulled. " hey cam what's wrong." She says moving to the living room taking his thumb from his mouth. " mower not Sunday bunnies not dark and noisy why's so loud." " buddy it's ok we have headphone where are your head phones?" Cam hands her the headphones from under the couch. " hey cam. Why were they there?" I ask " Gracie new people here. I'm big boy don't need headphones." " cam there nothing little about needing stuff ok. Your a big boy who needs headphones." He gives me a hug and I get up to get the door.

" neither of you graves a key on your way out really?" I question immediately after opening the door. T moves to give me a hug " no your sweaty." " never bothers you before." She snarks back. " get back out there now." Mom says tying her shoes.

" don't kill her yet please." I yell out the door as mom starts running. T throws back a help me look. " what you say to her mama?" " I made sure to do the don't hurt you but and the rules of our house just the usual what you can expect her dad to do only difference is I don't this her dad will chase you." " her brother might." I laugh out.

" hey will the gRandparents be at the games." " if we make it to the simis or farther." " ok."

" so do you know how we can help cam. I know there was a girl at the place back in Scotland that you told us about." " oh. Um an oral fixation is helpful sometimes he needs to rember his headphones he is obsessed with dinosaurs so lizard cams would be a calming thing and keeping things constant." " we can never do that." She says lowering her head " mama yes you can. You did for me. You go to games right he stays with joe the babysitter or stays with gram and gramps. If they're busy during camp he stays with grans and grandpa and you tell him four days in advance and help him pack. His special stuff make change easier. You are doing a good job mama moms doing a good job."

" sometimes it feels like your not my kid." " I am but I'm also your friend. Your only three years older mama and sometimes that's a blessing." " yeah but it'll be weird if and when my grandkids are the same age as my youngest." " nah that's just family."

Just then mom and t walk in. " your alive. Shower before I hug you." I say to t.

Mom punches my shoulder jokingly and says " you rented an entire boat at sunset. You went to brunch and in a ghost tour." " yeah two nights ago so what." Mama starts laughing and mom glares " so what! you proposed to your girlfriend of four almost five years on a boat at sunset and you have the most romantic pictures." " oh yeah I forgot about that." I say with mock thought. " oh you are over kid." Mama laughs.

" well mom mama, cam. I'm getting married to the love of my life and I'm going to the euros." " no shit Sherlock that is some big rock you put on her hand." Mom says. " it should be big she picked it out before we dropped out and it took me two years of my sponsorships to buy it." " don't ever tell her that. She loves you." Mama says.

" movie time!" Cam shouts. " what movie bud?"
" lion king." He says handing mom the remote.
We settle on the couch and mama says " Chinese food guys?" " yep I want what I always get and t gets chicken fried rice must of the time."

Mom and mama are cuddled together me and t are cuddled together in the other side of the couch with cam in the middle.

At the end of the movie I pick up the trash while mom gets the dishes and cam runs upstairs to get in pajamas. " you are happy." " yeah. I know." " she know that if it dosent stay that way she will get hurt." " yep not listening to this bye."

I walk into the living room to see mama giving T a hug and saying " welcome to the family."

" hey grace come on let's go to bed." Before I respond mama says " actually sleep." I blush deep as t laughs Frank g my hand. Mom yells " whipped." And I shout " look whose talking."

Todays been nice but soon this comfort bubble will be popped because of the euros.
