31. The Battle of Amon Hen

Aragorn with Thilia walks out from beneath the ruin and finds a troop of Uruk-hai advancing towards them. He walks towards them, touching his sword to his forehead. While Thilia keep relatively human for this fight and draws her long-curved sword from her hip. Aragorn then gives Thilia a nod before ducking and cutting down the first attacking Uruk. In the fighting the Uruks force Aragorn up the stairs of the seat.

Thilia is using blade, tail and claws to take down her opponents. She is a demon in this fight. The Uruks don't know what she is, so they are apprehensive and scared of her. But that doesn't stop her from killing anything that gets even remotely close to her. The leader of the Uruk-hais then starts shouting to the rest of his men, "Find the Halflings! Yaggh! Find the Halflings!" Thilia spins around trying to find Aragorn,

Only to see him leap off the ruins, shouting, "Elendil!" she rolls her eyes as she is then startled by a Uruk falling over dead near her, an elven arrow sticking out of its face, turning to see Legolas firing from a few feet back, "Thilia! Go!" he says, and she takes off after Frodo to find him and protect him. Legolas and Gimli run forward from behind the ruin. Legolas shoots several Uruk-hai; Gimli lands blows with his axe.

Frodo runs and hides behind a tree. Across the way, Merry and Pippin hide in a space under some fallen tree trunks. "Frodo!" Merry calls from their hiding spot, "Hide here! Quick! Come on!" Pippin adds as he waves his hand for him to join them. Frodo looks at them, then shakes his head. Merry already knows from Frodo's face what he'd planning to do, "What's he doin'?" Pippin asks not getting it.

"He's leavin'." Merry explains but Pippin's not having it, "No! he shouts as he runs out towards Frodo, "Pippin! Merry gasps as he goes after him. Merry and Pippin are out in the open. Several Uruk-hai are coming down the hill, towards them. Merry make a quick decision and looks to Frodo. "Run, Frodo! Go!" he nods then takes off. Merry turns back to the Uruks and cups his hands and calls out to the Uruk-hai.

"Hey! Hey you! Over here!" he shouts waving his arms, Pippin then joins in, "Hey!" he shouts. "Over here!" Merry adds in. Pippin waves his arms again as he shouts, "This way!" Both Hobbits run away from Frodo. The Uruk-hai troop follows them. Frodo makes a break for it, running in the opposite direction. "It's working!" Pippin cheers, but Merry is feeling a bit more of the urgency, "I know it's working! Run!"

Back at the hilltop, Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli continue to fight the Uruk-hai, the three of them covering Thilia's retreat to find the hobbits. In one smooth move, Legolas stabs one Uruk with an arrow then shoots it out at another. Gimli wields his axe cuts down more Uruks. Aragorn stabs one behind his back. Thilia is still fighting packs of them but chooses to run away from most of the fighting so that she can find the hobbits.

Merry and Pippin run across an old stone bridge. At its far end, they stop and see Uruk-hai running towards them. The Uruks are closing in, both in front and behind. An Uruk runs up to them, raising his battle-axe. Suddenly, Boromir comes charging in, grabbing the axe from the owner he uses it to kill the Uruk. Merry and Pippin are using their short swords to fight alongside Boromir,

An Uruk coming in towards them gets a knife thrown and it sinks into the throat of its intended target. Shield on one arm and sword in the other, he's bringing the enemy down like no other. Boromir is easily able to fight these beasts, but he is hindered by the hobbits as they need protecting.

Thilia is close, she can smell the hobbits, and see the bodies of the Uruks, meaning Boromir is with them, but even as she know he's with them she's still running and fighting Uruks of her own to find them. Three sharp blasts on a horn have her running even faster as she know it's Boromir that is calling for help.
