Chapter 4: Brotherhood and Shadows: Part 2

Third Person POV

(Harlem: Night)

Black Panther was perched on a rooftop and he surveyed the street, then he heard charging footsteps, he looked to see a blue blur running down the street, "Ahh, there's the speedster." Black Panther said and dropped down from the roof and landed in the street, and the speedster stopped and smirked "The new kid, I didn't expect you were going to be the Black Panther...but things can be surprising." the speedster said "I also know who are you...Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver." Black Panther said

"You certainly done your research, but me and my pals are gonna have to take you down." Quicksilver said and the rest of the Brotherhood showed up...Blob, Toad and Avalanche,

"Look, come willingly and we won't hurt ya." Toad said and Black Panther chuckled "I am amused...you see, I brought friends too." Black Panther said and the X-Men appeared out of the shadows, "Okay, we're doing this the hard way." Avalanche said and Spyke scoffed "As always." Spyke said and the two teams started fighting, Black Panther had dodged multiple slime attacks by Toad, He then pounced at Black Panther thinking he was going to knock him down but instead stuck to his chest, "Umm...why aren't you knocked down?" Toad said and noticed Black Panther glowing "Do you know what happens when kinetic energy gets absorbed?" Black Panther asked "Uh...no?" Toad said then was blasted into alleyway by kinetic energy, "It gets redirected." Black Panther said then felt the ground shake, he looked to see Avalanche and the ground split open, Black Panther fell through but caught himself with his claws, "Earthquakes, that is very interesting." Black Panther stated, he swung back and forth and flipped himself back up, Cyclops and Spyke were fighting against Blob who was chuckling, "Tickles." Blob said "I hope this won't." Spyke said and shot several, well, spikes at Blob's foot "Argh!" Blob yelled in pain and Cyclops blasted him into a car, Quicksilver was running around Jubilee and Jean Grey "C'mon, at least try to hit me!" Quicksilver said but was lifted off the air, Jubilee blasted fireworks in his face, blinding him, "Gah!" Quicksilver yelled and was thrown in a dumpster, Avalanche was the only one left "We need better strategies." Avalanche said and started causing an earthquake, but then a hand phased through his hand and he fell unconscious, everyone looked to see Shadowcat "So...what now?" Shadowcat said and Toad dragged himself out of the alley, "That hurt..." Toad said and Black Panther grabbed him by his chest, "Tell me what you know of Zanda....now." Black Panther said and Toad laughed "Why would I tell you?" Toad asked and Black Panther had his claws at his throat, "You do know I am a prince, correct?" Black Panther said and Toad was shocked "Uh...we did not know that." Toad said and Black Panther chuckled darkly "In my culture, an attack on the Prince of Wakanda, means you are going to war with Wakanda...my ancestors have defeated hundreds of invaders, some lived...but my ancestors taught them something, very important." Black Panther said and Toad was scared "What?" Toad said and Black Panther leaned in closer "There are fates, far worse than death." Black Panther said "Okay! Okay! Okay! She's holed up at some place in Brooklyn, she said her boss wanted you out of the way! That's it, I swear!" Toad said and Black Panther dropped Toad chuckling "I thank you for your cooperation." Black Panther said and Spyke was beside him "Cuz, if you need help...I can go with you." Spyke said "Thank you cousin, and I do need help..." Black Panther said and looked at Jubilee "I'll take you up on your offer." Black Panther said and Jubilee laughed "Alright, Prince of Wakanda, let's go to Brooklyn." Jubilee said and the two left the scene.

(Brooklyn Trainyard)

Black Panther and Jubilee arrived at the trainyard, they were walking around whilst talking "So, how do you figure she's here?" Jubilee asked "I picked up her scent...she's here." Black Panther said and stopped "What is it?" Jubilee asked and Black Panther got out one of his daggers, "Zanda's is about to attack." Black Panther said and he threw his dagger at Zanda who dodged out of the way, "Oh, you are never any fun T'Zuri." Zanda said and Black Panther activated his claws, "Be careful around Zanda, she can take any appearance...and she is a skilled fighter." Black Panther said "Don't worry T'Zuri...huh, that rhymed." Jubilee said and Black Panther raised an eyebrow at her, Zanda then charged at Black Panther who dodged and kicked her in the face, Jubilee fired fireworks at Zanda who threw Black Panther into them "Gah!" Black Panther yelled "Sorry!" Jubilee said "It's okay, just stay focused." Black Panther stated and dashed at Zanda and hit her with a barrage of claw strikes,

Zanda was stunned by this and Black Panther did a sweep into an axe kick, Zanda then threw a grenade at Black Panther who dodged, Jubilee saw it, she got behind cover and it blew up, Zanda smiled and shifted into Black Panther, he looked and was annoyed, "Handsome look, is it not?" Zanda said and the two continued fighting, Jubilee got out of cover and saw the two Black Panthers fighting, they then stopped and looked at Jubilee "Attack him, it's Zanda!" BP 1 said "I am not the imposter, he is." BP 2 said and Jubilee sighed "Shut up! Both of you, my god it's like fighting Mystique...who's your cousin?" Jubilee asked "Evan." both of them said "Who is your father and mother?" Jubilee asked "King T'Challa and Queen Ororo." they said and Jubilee face palmed, but got an idea "I gave one of you my number...what is it?" Jubilee asked "725-8934-612." BP 2 said and Jubilee blasted fireworks at BP 1, Zanda changed back and Black Panther had his daggers at her throat, "What is the Shadow Council, Zanda? Don't make me ask again." Black Panther said and Zanda rolled her eyes "It's an organization that was created by Hydra, but they were defeated by your great-grandfather T'Chanda...Killmonger had re-created it...but now that he is locked up, M'Baku has taken over." Zanda said and Black Panther was angry "Man-Ape...what are his plans now?" Black Panther said "He is working with Baron Zemo...he is at his father's castle doing research for him." Zanda said and Black Panther removed his dagger and leaned in close "You will pay for your crimes against Wakanda, but not now." Black Panther said and knocked her out and tied her up, he looked at Jubilee "Can you take her back to the Institute?" Black Panther asked and Jubilee nodded "Where are you going?" Jubilee asked and Black Panther started walking away "To find Baron Zemo."
