Peter was a mind reader.
Not like the scarlet witch, but more like a secret superpower. While the Wanda can look straight into someone's mind, Peter can sense what was bothering someone, like a physical or mental/emotional problems and He didn't knew what to name it so just said it was mind reading and called it a day.
Sometimes it was a good thing, came in handy whenever one of the Avengers felt down, Peter was here to help! But sometimes it was a gross, He visibly cringed at the thought of last week's subway incident and thought it was better if he kept it to himself than telling anyone, like ANYONE.
Moving on, Peter was having a great day so far until he sensed distress in someone that brought halt to his movements. Now don't get him wrong, but a single day at school was one hell of a ride and the hallway was always filled with distress but this was not the distress someone would get for leaving the homework at home or something, it was an actual problem right now.
This mind reading sense was telling him that Someone or more specifically a girl needs help with a problem. The problem? She doesn't have pads or tampons on her.
Peter scanned in the crowd and finally found her. Emily. She was the girl in his maths class. Now Peter being the awkward person, wasn't sure on how to help her. So he did the only thing he can think of.
He left the school primises secretly and bought some tampons, pads and chocolates cause he saw Pepper, Wanda and May always stacking up chocolates, before going back. Dragged MJ, ignoring the scowl on her face and explained the situation to her. All of this under the span of record breaking 57 seconds.
MJ just laughed it off.
"You are a complete awkward idiot Parker." took the packet of pads, chocolates and tampons and left.
"Hey! Emily, right?" MJ asked and smiled. Emily nodded. "I'm MJ and here, this is for you" Emily just said a quite 'i know' with confusion written on her face.
She looked down to the packet only to look back up. "Ho-how did you know i needed these?"
"I didn't, that idiot over there did." She gestured to Peter near his locker with Ned. "He somehow knew you needed these but was too awkward to give this packet to you himself."
Emily's eyes softened, she smiled and nodded. "please tell him i said Thank you." she said and walked away, probably to use the restroom.
MJ walked back to Peter and Ned and shoved him playfully.
"Good going Parker"
She said with a smile tugging her lips and too walked away.
Peter smiled and blushed a little.
