The Royal Explorer (Completed)

Chapter 42

(This is the fourth update of the day. Please make sure to read chapter 39,40,41 before this)

I was cuddling down next to a very sleepy Neel. 

Darsh had left the room. He was also going to leave this world, probably shutting down the time machine forever. He did not want any of it to repeat itself.

Neel was burning with fever. I don't know whether it was his ill health since last 3 years or the time travelling responsible for it. But as of now, he was under my care, and so I had to do my best to make him better.

I woke up to an already awake Neel lying next to me staring at me blankly.

"Neel!" I called out.

"Jiera, is that you" I missed him, his voice, his accent, his language, all of him.

"Yes" my voice cracked, I held his face, as I shifted closer to him.

He sobbed, as soon as I approved of his question, pulling me closer and tighter to a point that I was suffocated. But I am not complaining. If this is what it takes for him to be here, next to me always, I am ready for that too.

He finally moved, offering me a little space to breathe. I looked up at him and as soon as I did that he leaned ahead, placing his mouth over mine, kissing me long enough to compensate for the time that we missed.

I never thought I would get to taste him again, to hold him again, to kiss him again. I pushed my tongue in his mouth, savoring all of him, like I had been starving for years, and he welcomed me willingly.

He is doing a good job.

"Who is teaching you this?" I joked as we finally pulled away from each other.

He gave me his handsome laugh, the one that I longed to see.

He stayed like that for a while and then his face fell.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"This." He managed to pull my Q tab from his bedside drawer and give it to me. "This isn't working." He was on the verge of breaking down again. "you were there in here, but then you suddenly disappeared from here too." 

God I forgot to tell him about how the battery works. 

He must have been so disheartened.

"It's okay. It's okay." I pulled him back, before he broke down. "I'll charge it and bring this back to you okay."

"Will it work the same way again." he asked like a curious child.

"It will work better." I grinned. I was excited to show him, so much more this device is capable of, now that we have internet connection here.

He reciprocated my smile.

"I missed you" he said and I just snuggled closer to him

"coffee?" I asked.

"No. syrup." He teased. "here" he pulled out a packet of coffee that I had left for him.

"You still have these?" I looked at him in awe.

"This is that last one. I saved it for a day, I might die. I wanted this to be the last thing I have." He spoke sadly.

Honey!

"We'll have plenty of these now. Even better ones." I said to him, as I ordered coffee to my room.

Neel sat straight, waiting in anticipation and excitement as I poured the warm syrup in his cup.

"Here you go. Be careful." I lent him the cup to hold and then I held mine.

I clinked our cups together.

"Welcome to my world Neel. I have explored theRoyal world; now you, be 'The Casual Explorer.' "

Hey you'll. We are officially done with the work of 'The Royal Explorer.'  

And now that it's done, I feel so overwhelmed and sad and happy too. I don't know it's weird. If you guys are writers too, you'd know how difficult it is to say goodbye to a character you made yourself. :(  I am going to miss them. 

And ofcourse you guys too. 

You people have been so supportive and amazing, loving my characters more than I did.

Here I have a couple of questions for you. Answer them if you may:

1. How did you like the story? was it too cheesy or something?

2. What was your favorite scene?

3. What made you the most emotional. (sad, happy, surprised, angry, all of it)

4. How did you think the book will end? Do you have a better ending?

5. Lastly, if you were to make bonus chapters, what would you add?

I am not sure if I will make bonus chapters or no, but I am planning to add images.

6. Do you have songs for this book? Should we make a spotify playlist? Is it too late.
