Chapter 16

Derek's POV

I looked down at Stiles as he cuddled into my side asleep, he's been here the whole weekend and mum doesn't seem to have a problem with it, I gently ran my fingers through his hair causing him to nuzzle against my side, I was very aware of my growing attraction towards him and I really need it to stop but I'm not sure I want it to, I know he likes me, even if he didn't outright tell me when we were trying to figure out who the Kamina was I could tell, he was always staring at me more then doing his work, but I also can't do anything about it and he knows the same. I put the book down laying next to Stiles as he just cuddled up closer, I got comfortable and fell asleep with him in my arms.

I got woken up in the middle of the night to Laura poking me in the face, her finger to her lip as I looked up at her with a frown "what?" I said quietly, Stiles sound asleep on my chest "the hunter got arrested, but the cops are looking for Isaac and I think the Sheriff knows about..." she didn't finish and just pointed between me and Stiles so I frowned more confused "what about us" she sighed "about the two of you getting Isaac out, he said he'll be over in the morning, we are going to have to tell him Der and since he's your boyfriends dad you get the honours"

"He's not my boyfriend, you'll get me arrested if you keep saying that" I huffed back out, she shrugged and got up "see you in the morning baby bro"

I rolled my eyes watching Laura leave shuffling the slightest to get comfy with Stiles practically lay on top of me as I fall back to sleep till morning

Stiles was awake first, and I know this because he woke me up elbowing me in the side to get out of the bed before falling to the floor "oh my god, Der I am so sorry, I did not mean to wake you, I just..." he had quickly darted up and went to the bathroom, I sat up and rubbed my eyes "hurry up in there" I said with a yawn getting out the bed and leaning on the wall by the door "your dad is coming over"

I heard his heatbeat speed up as he quickly flushed the toilet and washed his hands "is this about Isaac he questioned walking out the toilet shaking his hands dry "there's a towel in there" I grumble back as he walks past, he just grins at me so I go and do my morning stuff "so this has nothing to do with me staying here all weekend"

I rolled my eyes "even if it did, I'd make it clear it's all on you, specially the claim on my bed" he poked his head through the door as I washed my hands "out, I need to get dressed" he smirked "I don't mind watching" I groaned "Stiles!" "Derek" he mocked back, I glared at him "fine I'm going, but don't blame me when all the pancakes are gone, because this mouth is a force to be reckoned with when pancake is involved" I rolled my eyes as he left

I had quickly gotten washed and dressed after having to find another shirt to wear since the one I had gotten was missing, which I found the moment I stepped into the kitchen and Stiles was wearing it "my shirt again" he turned to grin at me before going back to eating the pancakes, I rolled my eyes and sat beside him taking some of his pancakes as he whines because mum was still making more "you two are gross" Cora said from across the table which we both just shrugged at her "Thanks mum" I said as she placed another load of pancakes down

I had ate my pancakes and was eating my bacon when Stiles tried to take it from me "this is mine" he didn't seem to care as he kept trying to reach for it "you had some of my food" he whined out, I was leaned back my arm stretched away from stiles with the bacon in as Stiles tried his best to reach over me to try and grab it, and that's how his dad found us when he came in "morning boys" both our heads shooting in the direction of the door "hey dad" so I took that chance to get the bacon in my mouth causing Stiles to pout at me and I just smirked at him

The Sheriff looked between me and Stiles a raised eyebrow before I cleared my throat and moved Stiles back a bit so I could stand "let's go to the office, we need to talk"  he nodded so I lead the Sheriff and Stiles to the office gesturing for the man to sit down "this isn't going to be easy" I said as he settled down

"I only came about Isaac, I don't want to know what's going on between you and my son, I don't want to arrest you Derek" my eyes blew wide as Stiles choked on air and waved his arms fumbling around "I was talking about Isaac" I quickly said out "nothing is going on with me and Stiles" running my hand through my hair, he narrowed his eyes before nodding "why did you break Isaac out, I know it was you my front desk told me so don't try and tell me it wasn't"

I sighed "we had no choice, if we didn't break him out he'd be dead..." "well actually the hunter would be since Isaac broke out himself but thats not the point here" Stiles cut in and I glared at him "right, can I continue" Stiles opened his mouth before clamping it shut at my glare

"Hunter? What are you talking abouy" the sheriff ask confused "okay... so you know how my mum was their when your nephew got killed" Noah nodded "well it turned out he was the one going around murdering a bunch of people as..." "a big bad alpha werewolf" I rolled my eyes at Stiles cut in input "now Derek is the Alpha, well Talia is but Derek's an alpha to, and Isaac is a beta who doesn't have control and there's something else going around killing things, I think its Matt but mmphff" I glared at him as he glared back

"As I was saying" keeping my hand over Stiles mouth "he was going qround as a werewolf killing people, at this time he turned Scott into a werewolf, and some other teens, I think his main goal was Stiles but I killed him, it was the only way to stop him" Noah was frowning as he listened "I don't have time for jokes boys, Jason died from an animal attack, your mother told me" I sighed dropping my hand from Stiles mouth "I know for a fact he didn't, because I'm the one who killed him... he was going to kill Stiles and I had to stop him, I couldn't let him kill Stiles, there is also a good chance he was the reason your brother died"

Noah looked between me and Stiles who also changed from wanting to explain to standing quite and looking upset "son?" Noah questioned a worried look on his face "he was going to kill me dad, Derek saved me, more then once, he's telling the truth about werewolves" his tone had changed from excited to serious now "Isaac lahey, Vernon Boyd, Erica Reyes where the 3 he turned that night at the school, Scott was turned before then, he tried to turn Lydia but for some reason it didn't work and Jackson is the new thing going around killing things because the bite didn't turn him into a werewolf but into a kanima that gets controlled by someone else" I sighed resting my hand on Stiles arm, his sadness and worry filling the room "you're serious about this, this is impossible"

I shook my head to Noah as Stiles just stayed close to me "it's not and I can prove it to you" Noah frowned and nodded clearly needed to see the proof himself so I let my eyes bleed the alpha red and my face change into my beta form
