Karl and some of his friends were at a burger place outside eating.
Well they weren't really his friends,they were some friends from his friend who I will not name,but the friend left to go do something real quick.
The guys were talking about something he didn't listen too,since he was on his phone looking at cute cats.

"Karl?"
"Karl!"
Karl looked up.
Karl:"yea?"
Jake:"why are your nails painted?"
Karl looked at his hands and back at them.
Karl:"cause I like them painted?"
Jason:"do you shave?"
Well This was weird.

Karl:"um....why are you asking?"
Jason:"just curious.."
Karl:"um,yea,I do?"
Quackity just watched as this weird interaction unfolded.
Jake:"isn't that kinda..gay?"
The both laughed.
Karl:"well...it's just what I prefer..."
Jason:"yeah but,why?"
Karl:"idk,it's more comfortable"
Jason:"but it's not very manly is it"
Karl:"no,it's not,what's your point"

Jake:"guys should be manly-"
Karl:"says who?"
Jake:"idk like- everyone?!"
Jason:"wait,you ARE a guy right??"
The two boys laughed at him again.
Karl obviously felt uncomfortable.
Quackity:"guys-"
Karl:"yea..I'm a guy?"
Jason:"are you sure? If your not I gotta say you look pretty g-"
Karl:"I am?-"
Jake:"whaooo pretty lady,you don't have to get so offended?"
The two just kept laughing at him,it felt like Highschool all over again.

The thing about Karl was he was not really like most guys,I know that sounds dumb but hear me out.
Karl was more..feminine? Than the average straight guy.
He giggled and danced and talked,not like someone who listens to alpha male podcast,and apparently that was a bad thing.
It's just how Karl grew up being like,and he personally didn't see it as a problem,at least when people didn't make fun of him for it.
Quackity actually really liked that about Karl,it was nice,Karl was nice,that's all the mattered.

He often found himself admiring Karl's feminine features and acts,it was cute.
Maybe it was a bit weird..or gay but still.
Jason:"your like- your like a Femboy!-"
Karl:"what?"
Karl just looked at him as they laughed like it was the funniest thing ever.
Quackity:"guys-"
Karl stood up and walked away.
Quackity:"guys what the fuck?"
Jake:"what? He's the one that got all offended"
Jason:"must be on his period"
The guys laughed even more.

Quackity stood up and went after Karl.
Quackity:"Karl!"
He said as he put his hand on his shoulder when they reached an ally way.
Karl:"no! Leave me alone-"
Quackity:"cmon-"
Karl:"stop!"
He shouted as he turned around,he was crying.
Karl:"I do everything to try and just be myself but every time it backfires!"
Quackity:"don't let it get to you,your not even-"
Karl:"but I am! I'm gay! I always have been I just never told any of you..!"

Quackitys eyes widened.
Karl stayed silent other than sobbing and wiping away his tears.
Karl:"fuck.."
He sighed.
Quackity:"wait,your actually gay?"
Karl looked away and shrugged.
Karl:"I mean...it's obvious.."
Quackity:"well it's not since you say your not gay every time someone asks you-"
Karl:"Quackity."
Quackity sighed.
Quackity:"I'm sorry.."

Karl:"whatever,I don't wanna talk about it,I didn't even want to tell you!"
Quackity:"why?...we're best friends?"
Karl:"that's the thing- everything I do will start looking like I'm actually into you- every joke I make is gonna come off as serious and-!"
Quackity:"you think I'm that dumb? Karl just because gay doesn't mean I think your suddenly into me..."
Karl sighed,he was a clearly still stressed
Karl:"it doesn't..but it seems like it does."
Quackity:"do you think I'm into you when I make a joke?"

Karl:"why would I,your not even gay.."
Quackity looked at him and shrugged.
Karl:"your fucking kidding me."
Quackity laughed.
Quackity:"I'm not actually,I am..gay..!"
Karl:"Quackity if this is a joke it's not funny-"
Quackity:"it's not,promise."
Karl looked at him and scoffed.
Karl:"that's..really weird"
Quackity shrugged.
Karl:"I mean how-? You-...huh?"

Quackity laughed.
Quackity:"idk,I just like feminine guys?-"
Quackity cut himself off.
Karl:"um.."
Quackity:"that wasn't what I was gonna say.."

Quackity:"I'm not trying to like- like when I say 'feminine guys' I don't mean you-"
Karl:"bad timing.."

Karl looked at him and laughed.
