"Mijo, I shall return at nightfall. I have restrengthened the ring to ward off any attacks from anyone." I told pointing my eyes at Jace

"Thank you, mamma. I will wait for your return. Be safe out there." He said kissing my forehead

"You too my dear boy." I said before turning towards the Shadowhunter

"If any harm comes to my boy from any of your hands, you will not have to worry about Valentine. I'll kill you myself." I said opening a portal leaving back to my home.

"Stella, my love, where did you go?" Magnus asked

"Raphael called me. The mundane is dead. I went to have his back. How was Catarina?" I asked

"She is good. Staying hidden. How is Raphael?" He asked

"He is doing good. staying hidden from circle members. I think we might be rid of Camille soon. She broke the Accords." I told him

"Hmm. Good. Now it is still daylight, and we are both done protecting those we love, shall we enjoy a magical lunch." He said

"Mm. Yes, my kitty cat." I told him

We were about to summon our lunch before Magnus got a called. I watched as talked to the person until they hanged up.

"It appears the institute needs my help. Do you wish to come with me?" He asked

"Sure, but I'm only going to watch." I told him

He opened a portal and we went to the institute. Isabelle greeted us and explained what is happening. 

"You almost done?" Isabelle asked as Magnus checked the body

"Patience is a virtue, my dear." He told her

"Come on. I want to get my hands on that thing." She told him

"Speaking of which, how is Alexander? I was hoping I might hear from him." Magnus said

"Putrefaction. It's decomposing." Isabelle said about the body ignoring the question

"Stella and I find it's just so hard to tell if Alexander is even interested. I mean, we can't fathom why he wouldn't be." Magnus told her

"I'm not sure if y'all noticed, but my brother is not exactly warm and fuzzy." Isabelle said

"Not surprised, with Clary's arrival..." I said

"Valentine's return." Isabelle added

"Mmm-hmm. Running the Institute..." magnus said afterwards

"The envoy from the clave" Isabelle said

"Oh, who I hear is very impressive. What else?" He asked

"Babysitting Jace." I added from beside him

"And dealing with our parents who are trying to find him a wife. Sorry." She told us

I looked down feeling my eyes starting to show. My mate will not marry some woman he doesn't know. I could feel my power increasing. Immediately, I feel magnus hand in my own. I calm down, knowing I can't react.

"It's quite all right. I suppose Alec is just following his duty." Magnus said sadly

"Not all of us have the luxury of following their hearts." She told us

"Stella and I are gonna go deliver the preliminary findings. It seems like you have everything under control here." He told her as we walked away

We walked in the hallway before I stopped him looking outside.

"My love, I must leave. I promised my boy I would be there with him." I said

"That is quite alright. I will deliver these myself." He said

I left, portaling to Raphael.

"Mamma, you are here. It is about to start." He told me

"Don't worry vampire nor shadowhunter will harm us." I told him

"Stella, Stella, always being the protector. You should let him fight his own battles or he'll never grow." Camille said

"If it isn't the bitch herself. How's life knowing it's about to end?" I asked in fake sympathy

"Shut it. I want my property back." She said

"Simon is not your property." Clary told her

"If you'll just hand him over, I'll be on my way." Camille said

"You heard Clary. You're not laying a hand on him." Jace said from behind her

"Fine. I tried to do this the nice way." She said before snapping her fingers. Soon we were surrounded by vampires.

I was about to step forward until my boy got in front.

"I'm glad you brought everyone here to witness your demise." He told her, putting his attention on his people. "Camille killed this mundane. Now, I have all the proof. She's been breaking the Accords for too long now. he's the evidence we need to show the Clave what camille had been doing." He told them

Camille started laughing. "Are you trying to overthrow me?" She said

"No. I already have." He said before the vampires surrounded her

"Don't listen to him. Raphael doesn't know the first thing about leading. You need me. I've given you everything you could want. All the riches. All the pleasures you could desire." Camille told them

"By breaking the law. Which will only destroy us." Raphael told her

I wish I could step in, but he needs to do this himself

"We can fix this. if we just get rid of the body, this mundane means nothing." Camille said

"Means nothing? Over my dead body." Clary said punching her

Suddenly the vampires attacked Camille and took her away.

"Clary...it's time. which will it be?" He asked her holding up a stake or shovel

She grabbed the shovel. We watched as she dug his grave.

Raphael grabbed my hand and dragged me away.

"What is wrong my boy?" I asked

"What if I can't lead?" He asked

"Do not listen to what that monster said. You will be a great leader. You already have been. You're watching out for your people. And, besides, you know I will always have your back. Do not hesitate to ask for help." I told him hugging him

"I know you do. thank you, mamma. I need to hear that." He said as we went back to the gravesite

"Grab the blood bags." I told him as we watched Simon rise

"Once your reborn, you emerge hungry. Very hungry." Raphael said

Simon was freaking out, but Raphael will help him.

"Go. Look out for him." I told Raphael as we watched Simon run away

"I will. Be safe, mamma." He said kissing my forehead disappearing after Simon

"Goodbye Shadowhunter's." I said leaving after Raphael
