Alexander. Why! I kept thinking. He sent away my son. I followed my mate's scent.

"Help! It's Magnus." some shadowhunter said running at me.

Oh no I thought. I ran towards the office and saw Alexander doing chest compressions.

"Move!" I ordered and started pushing my magic into him. "Call Catarina." I told him

"Catarina, it's Magnus." I told her

I kept trying to heal him, waiting for catarina. Finally, I heard her and moved aside as she tried helping him.

"What happened?" She asked

"Catarina, he... he just collapsed. I don't know. You have to do something. He isn't breathing." Alexander explained, freaking out

"By the angel." I heard from behind me. Isabelle.

"I tried using my magic, but it's not working." I told her

"Stand back." Catarina told us

I grabbed Alexander, pulling him towards Isabelle, watching as Catarina kept pushing her magic in him like a resuscitator. It wasn't working.

"Together." I told her following her lead. I gathered my magic, combing with Catarina's and we both pushed it into Magnus.

We kept pushing and pushing, until finally we got a breath. Slowly, it came back. I stopped my magic and leaned back.

"Move him to the infirmary." Catarina ordered

Alexander gently picked him up and we followed behind him. Isabelle connected Magnus to the machines and Alexander, and I stayed behind.

I wanted to be mad at him, right now, but I knew Magnus needed me more.

"Magnus, I... I don't know if you can hear me. This is my fault. I was selfish. When you first lost your powers, and you said you were okay with it, I... I didn't think twice. I guess I was so happy that maybe I would have one love to grow old together with." Alexander said across from me.

I kept silent though, knowing that he himself feels like this is his fault.

"I guess I just didn't realize... deep down, how much you were suffering. Magnus, I love you." He said grabbing Magnus hand. He turned to me, grabbing my hand. "I love you, Stella. I love you and Magnus more than anyone in the world... and I'm so sorry. So sorry for all the pain that I have caused you and Magnus." He told me

I looked down, knowing if I looked at him, that I would try and comfort him. I can't forgive him. Not yet.

"May I come in?" I heard Catarina ask

"Yeah." Alexander and I said at the same time. I watched as he went towards her, while I stayed next to Magnus, knowing I could hear them perfectly fine, from where I'm at.

"Did you manage to make contact with the people at the Spiral Labyrinth?" Alexander asked

"Yes, and I shared the test results, and he agreed. Magnus's body is rejecting Lorenzo's magic." Catarina told him

Damn it. I knew this could happen.

"Rejecting? What do you mean?" Alexander asked

"Think of it like a failing organ transplant. Each time Magnus performs a spell, it puts a tremendous strain on his body. he got lucky this time. He will regain consciousness. But if he uses magic again, even for something small, he might not survive." Catarina explained

I squeezed Magnus hand in fear of what could happen to him. I can't lose him.

"Why can't you just... fix him? Why can't you just take Lorenzo's magic out?" Alexander asked
