Chapter 37

I walked around the Japanese cultural area, disappearing from Alexander and Mangus. I walked into a warlock shop and gathered supplies for my cabinet. I portaled the items home, before walking towards Magnus and Alexander who were kissing. 

"My god, y'all are hot." I said

They laughed before pulling me towards them.

"We are nothing compared to you, my goddess." Magnus whispered

I laughed, but before we could enjoy the moment a fire message appeared.

"Clary's alive." Alexander told us

We walked out of human eyes, and I opened a portal to the Institute for us.

"I'm going to do a widespread magic spell. You look with the computers." I told them

They nodded as I walked to Alexander's office. I grabbed a map, grabbing something of Clary's and doing a location spell. 

'Ahsorum, dolusantum, infidictus' I chanted in my head. I watched as a dot appeared on the map. I gasped, noticing how much energy that took. I grabbed my stele, activating my stamina rune. I walk out to the control room. 

"She's in Paris." I told them

They nodded grabbing their weapons. I opened a portal, watching as Jace, Luke, and Alexander go and save Clary.

It was only a few minutes when they arrived back... and with Clary.

"Biscuit!" exclaimed Magnus as he hugged her

"Magnus!" She said happily hugging him

I smiled, knowing how much he missed her. They finally let go of each other as I went up to her.

"Hi Clary." I told her

"Stella!" She exclaimed, pulling me into a hug

I hugged her back with all my strength. I watched as Simon and Isabelle greeted her.

"Tell me where Johnathan is. I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch with my bare hands." Isabelle said

"You can't. None of us can." Jace said

"Why?" Simon asked

"Lilith carved this rune into me, right before your mark blasted her back to hell." Clary explained showing the mark

"The rune ties Clary's life force to Johnathan's." Alexander told them

"Hurt one of them, you hurt the other in the exact same way." Luke added

"Which is why I sent an alert out to the other Institutes: Johnathan must be captured alive." Alec told us

"He was looking for a sword when he was in Paris... the Morning Star. If we can find it first, maybe we can track down Johnathan." Clary said

"Another magic sword?" Simon asked

"He said it was some kind of family heirloom." Clary said

"I'll reach out to all the weapons masters to get intel." Isabelle told us

"I'll draw all the ley-line junctions in the city. If Johnathan moved the apartment, we'll find him." Magnus said
