Hei Xiazi

"Wait, Master Hua! Don't run off on your own like that! It's dangerous!" Hei Xiazi yelled at his troublesome Master, as he watch Xiao Hua run off in the direction he hear Wu Xie yell, as soon as he touched ground without waiting for the others to do the same, completely ignoring his warning

"Damn... he is so reckless..." Xiazi whisper as he jumped down the rest of the few meter that keep him from the ground and rushed after him at full speed, because he wasn't kidding when he had yelled at him that it was dangerous out there and they didn't knew exactly what had happen where Zhang Qiling and Wu Xie where.

Of course, he knew that Wu Xie had called upon his lighting dragon right after he exchanged words with Yaba Zhang, meaning that perhaps the demons were already there or very close. Running at a fast speed, Xiazi reached Xiao Hua in no time and grabbed his hand to pull him back, toward him.

Xiao Hua found himself unable to resist the pull and end up crashing against Hei Xiazi's strong chest in a blink on an eye, while the other man held him in place to avoid a nasty fall.

"Hey! What are you doing? Let go of me!" Xiao Hua yelled angrily, trying his best to get away from that hold.

"Saving your life! You get reckless when Wu Xie is in danger and I can understand why perfectly, but you tend to forget that we are now in a very dangerous place you know nothing off!"

"I saw something that looked like a lighting dragon going down this whole and Wu Xie screamed his guts out shortly after! He must be in need of help right now, so don't you dare stop me again!" Xiao Hua yelled, as he try harder to get away from Xiazi's hold, but failed, as the other man was way stronger than he was.

"Wu Xie will get the help, if there is really the need, but before you rush toward the unknown, wait for the others that can give you more assistance that you can do on your own. Don't get impatient Xiao Hua, because everyone in here worries for Wu Xie as much as you do." Xiazi said and just in time for the running Pangzi to overhear.

"That's right! We all came down this rabbit hole for him, so let's do this as the family we are, not matter what lies ahead..." Pangzi said as he tapped Xaizi's shoulder in gratitude for stopping Master Hua before something could happen to him. Seen now that he had indeed acted rashly, Xiao Hua sighed in embarrassment.

"I... I'm sorry... I got desperate." Xiao Hua apologize and after seen him back to his normal rational self, Xiao Hua finally let him go.

"It's okay, Master Hua... let's just stick together from here on." Pan Zi said in turn.

"But what the hell was that lighting thing?" Wang Meng asked as he came closer.

"An illusion most likely... Tianzhen said the ruins will be filled with illusions as you came closer to the underground tomb. We had go down quite a lot, so maybe we are already under the illusions of the tomb." Pangzi explained and Xiazi almost applaud him, because he could not have found a better explanation to the already unexplainable than that.

It looked that Wu Xie or more like Wu Xie's grandfather Wu Lao Gou had already forged a 'believable' story of the unnatural things that explorers will find in those ruins, explained them as illusions. Demons then were no longer real, even if you happen to find one and survive, nor will be more real the Qilins running around or the ongoing war between demons and guardians.

Wu Lao Gou had done them a great favor, while putting all those real fact he had witness as illusions and spread the rumors among tombs raiders. His notebooks becoming the focus of the ruins exploration, instead of just more people going there to be killed by what they had called blood zombies, while the Qilin spirit keeping Wu Xie protected from danger, yet passed as an ancient curse.
