As the sun lowered,
I made my way through Borhn,
To the library.

My brown leather boots,
Sounded very rhythmic,
Upon the cobblestone.

The wind was awfully sweet,
But not too strong,
So that I couldn't whistle.

This would be the first time,
I would step foot into,
Borhn's "Great Library".

With endless halls of books,
It was said to be,
'The center of knowledge '.

It was across the block,
Which unfortunately,
Housed the other guild.

As previously mentioned,
Legin's two guilds,
Were traced back as rivals.

This rivalry started,
Due to the guilds,
Being owned by two brothers.

My guild was run by Leon,
And its official name,
Was "The Lion's".

Leon was the wiser one,
But was still childish,
As to compete.

He was slim but strong;
A tall mage,
Who was said to be a born leader.

Always clean shaven,
He was often called 'prince',
By his fellow mages.

The next guild however,
Was owned by Borris,
And was named "The Bear's" guild.

Though older than Leon,
He was shorter,
But not by a huge amount.

Stubbles on his chin,
More muscular than Armes,
With a pure smile.

He had no magic,
But by his sword,
Thousands of enemies were slain.

Though he was quite loud,
In battle IQ,
The brothers were right equal.

Both of them reigned from,
A royal family,
Inside Nyraun.

They became guild masters,
At the ages of:
Seventeen and nineteen.

I had never seen the two,
Even that night,
Of the goblins' arson.

Though I did hear,
Leon was the one,
Who handled most of the clean up.

I had learned all this from Ren,
Who happened to be,
Once close with Leon.

I had hoped to hear more,
At the library,
In its town documents.

I was nearing my target,
When suddenly,
I became confronted.

A group of three men.
All roughly my age;
But were much bigger than me.

Though they opposed me;
They themselves looked scared,
Of any form of battle.

"Hey, how old are ya?",
They asked with false kindness.
"Seventeen", I replied.

"I hope you're not taking that test,
Y'know?,
The adventurers' licence."

They were talking down to me;
Like you would a child.
How pathetic...

"And what if I am?"
After training with Armes,
My confidence rose.

Several weeks had past,
And in that time,
My strength increased drastically.

"I don't recognize you, boy.",
The group leader went on,
Acting all tough.

"You see, us bears want one thing,
To please Borris,
By beating you Lions!"

What an idiot.
He was no Bear,
And I wasn't any Lion.

Those nicknames were given,
After you passed the test,
And got your license.

This made me happy though,
To see my studying,
Already working.

"So you see, kid...
Why wait for the test,
When we could just cripple you right now?!"

After saying this he snapped,
And the two others,
Ran straight towards me.

I was unarmed.
Their code of chivalry,
Obviously wasn't in tact.

They all wielded swords;
A very simple weapon,
But strong nonetheless.

One was faster than the other,
So when he swung,
My plan took action.

Right handed,
He swung vertically,
So I dodged swiftly to my left.

With full force I jabbed his wrist,
Making him drop his steel;
Effectively.

I swept his legs,
And while his sword was falling,
I too grabbed its hilt.

With one down,
I now had a weapon,
To defend the next attackers.

His sword was light,
That was a bad sign,
It wasn't a suitable one.

When the next guy swung,
I clashed his steel on mine,
His with two hands; mine, one.

So with my left hand,
I chopped at his throat;
Just enough to make him fall.

I kicked at his chest.
He was unfit for chainmail.
I wish I had some.

With him defenseless,
I picked up his sword,
And started to duel wield.

The last guy ('the leader'),
Hadn't moved this whole time.
Some leader he was.

But as the white star set,
I walked towards him,
Duel wielding both blades.

He was nervous beyond belief,
But he did not run,
And pulled forth his.

He also dawned a shield.
A small circle one;
His left hand gripping it.

All right handers;
But with my training,
I became ambidextrous.

He clashed his steel on his shield,
And while yelling,
Charged forth right at me.

I wanted to test my aim,
So I threw one sword,
Straight up; sky bound.

Then I took my stance.
We both had swung,
But I knocked out his sword in one.

Then I pivoted,
And as I spung,
My second hit shattered his shield.

His shield was wooden,
But the sheer force of it,
Sent him flying backwards.

Though not as potent,
I had picked up Armes':
Signature shockwave hit.

The sword I had thrown up,
At this time,
Pierced the ground right next to his face.

That was a shame.
It appeared as though,
My aim was a little rusty...

But as he laid defeated,
I put my foot,
Upon his sorry face.

"All three of these blades",
I said sternly,
"None of you are fit to master."

And with that said,
I shattered all three,
Upon the hard cobblestone road.

They ran after that,
But I took their money,
As my compensation.

I looked at the sun.
Soon it would be dark,
So I should be getting home.

I used the coins they had,
To pay the fee,
So I could check out some books.

I figured I'd read them,
Once I got back to the pub,
Before I slept.

After this incident,
I would go once a week,
To the library.

But this was the only time,
Someone tried to stop me,
From entering.
