The bathroom floor is cold against Steve's legs. It's nice he feels like he's overheating. Maybe it's the drugs making him feel like that, or maybe it's the question Robin is asking him.

Robin had asked a simple question to see if they were still high. Has he ever been in love? Yes of course with Nancy Wheeler.

"Are you still in love with Nancy?"Robin asks from the other stall.

"No," Steve says. Sure a part of Steve will always love Nancy, but he doesn't think he'll ever be IN love with her ever again.

"Why not?" Robin asks. The answer is simple because he has Eddie and Eddie is his world. But he can't say that. Tears start to fill his eyes and he takes a breath before answering

"I think it's because I found someone who's a little bit better for me" His voice is a bit shaky but he keeps going

"It's crazy" Steve laughs

"Ever since Dustin got home he's been saying 'you gotta find your Suzie you gotta find your Suzie'" Steve smiles

"Who's Suzie?" Robin asks

"It's some girl from camp I guess his girlfriend, to be honest with you I'm not one hundred percent sure she's even real" Steve admits

"That's not even the point, the point is the person I'm in love with is somebody I never even talked to in school," Steve can feel a tear roll down his cheek. Every time he thinks about how he was to Eddie back in high school before they met he wanted to die.

"I don't even know why, maybe it's because Tommy H would've made fun of me or I wouldn't be prom king" Steve rolls his eyes at his words.

"It's stupid I mean Dustin right it's all just a bunch of bullshit anyways" Steve admits not that Dustin ever needs to know that.

"Cause when I think about it I should have been hanging out with this gu-" Steve cuts himself off

"This person the whole time, first of all, they're hilarious, they're so funny," Steve thinks about Eddie.

"I feel like ever since I met this person I have laughed harder than I have laughed in a really long time" Steve smiles

"And they're smart way smarter than me not that he'd ever believe me," Steve didn't catch his slip up

"He's honestly unlike anyone I've ever met before," Steve still doesn't catch himself until he's said it. His smile drops and he wants to throw up but not from the drugs from whatever Robin is going to say next.

Robin is quiet, Steve can hear her heavy breathing from his stall.
"Robin?" Steve asks, his voice is shaky and he has so many tears in his eyes he can't see. He taps on the wall of the stall to try and get her attention, he doesn't like how she's not saying anything

"Robin, did you just OD in there?" He kind of jokes

"No" Robin sighs

"I am still alive" Her voice is shaky too. When the two of them were on the floor of the Russain lab she said something about him. It did kinda sound like she liked him back in high school maybe he hurt her feelings.

Steve slides under the stall wall that is shared between the two. The floor is cold and gross but he is already covered in blood and vomit so he didn't care.

"The floor is disgusting" She points out. He can see the tears in her eyes but he can't make out what her face is saying.

"Yeah well, I already got a bunch of blood and puke on my shirt so" Steve shrugs and she laughs. It wasn't a laugh because it's funny more because it's true.

"What do you think?" He asks. This is the moment his life could be over. All she would have to do is tell someone and he would be dead within seconds. The Russians didn't scare him as much as this moment does.

"About?" She asks

"This boy" Steve whispers

"He sounds awesome," Robin tells him

"He is awesome but what about the other guy?" Steve asks her. He still can't make out her facial expressions

"I think he's on drugs and he's going to regret saying all of this" Robin tells him

"Actually for once, I think he for once finally thinking straight" Steve admits, and his voice cracks

"He's not," Robin says. He is so confused she is not calling him names or slurs, she looks like she knows how he feels.
"Steve, if you knew me like really knew me, I don't think you'd want to be my friend," Robin says. Now Steve is super confused about where she's going with this

"No, that's not true. No way is that true" He tells her

"Listen to me Steve," She tells him and he nods

"It shocked me to my core," Robin starts

"I like you I really like you," She admits maybe he did hurt her feelings. Maybe she does have feelings for him

"But I'm not like your other friends and I am not Nancy Wheeler," Robin says
"Robin I know that about you, you're losing me here," Steve tells her

"Do you remember what I said about Clicks class?" She asks

"About me being jealous and obsessed?" She asks him and he nods

"Yeah," he says

"It isn't because I had a crush on you" Robin admits it makes Steve feel better knowing he hasn't hurt her but nothing has been cleared up in his mind.

"It's because... She wouldn't stop staring at you" Robin's voice is breaking

"Mrs. Click?" Steve is very confused and Robin chuckles

"Tammy Thompson" She clarifies

"I wanted her to look at me" Robin confesses

"But she couldn't pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair" Robin sounds a little angry not at him but in general.

"And I didn't understand, because you would get bagel crumbs all over the floor and you asked dumb questions and you were a douchebag" What Robin is saying Steve has no memory of, except for being a douche he remembers that he'll always remember that.

"And you didn't even like her" Robin's voice is cracking

"And I would go home and just scream into my pillow" She admits

"But Tammy Thompson's a girl," Steve tells her he thinks he's understanding.

"Steve," Robin says softly

"Oh" is all he says he really understood it now
"Oh," She says back

"Holy shit we're the same" Steve mumbles in the last part

"What?" Now Robin is the confused one

"We're both... Different from other people" Steve says

"So you really are dating a boy?" Robin asks

"Yes I didn't mean to tell you but now you know," Steve says doing very sad jazz hands

"Holy shit," Robin says he gives a little chuckle

"So Tammy Thompson," Steve says in a suggestive tone

"What's wrong with her?" Robin asks all defensive

"She wants to be a singer and move to Nashville," Steve tells her

"She has dreams so what" Robin gets all defensive and Steve laughs
"She can't even hold a tune she sounds like a muppet giving birth" Steve jokes

"She does not" Robin lightly slaps him

"Wait but if you have a boyfriend, why were you flirting with all those girls?" Robin asks

"To not get caught duh," Steve says

"So you don't suck at flirting?" Robin asks in disbelief

"I will choose not to answer that,'' Steve says. They both are a laughing mess on the floor of a very dirty bathroom.

"There you two are we've been looking for you" Dustin barges in and they laugh even harder.
