Depressed
She smiles so sweetly,
her eyes twinkle like the stars.
You can hear her laugh so loud.
She’s enjoying every moment — really?
Smiles and laughs can be tricky,
it tells you she’s happy even if she’s not.
She acts like everything is fine
as if she’s not suffering inside.
Every night is a lonely night for her.
She’s a lonesome lady hugging her pillow
while crying endlessly until she falls asleep.
She at least feels at rest but it isn’t enough.
Day by day, her situation got worse
but no one seems to notice it.
How can they tell that she’s depressed
if her smile tells she’s fine?
People see her as a cheerful lady
but none of them look closely in her eyes
and see the real her drowning in sadness.
She’s yelling for help but who’s gonna save her?
Drowned deeply in sadness,
she couldn’t fight any further.
People were shocked as they heard the news
that she died after hanging herself.
