Okay, so I tried to make a one-shot inspired by the song, Born to Die by Lana Del Rey. I don't know if this made sense really because I was basing it on the meaning of the song and trying to sync it with the music video but that's fine 🤩 🤩

Anygays!

Italics = lyrics

Why,
who me,
why?

After a six-month mission without contact, you were returning home. Natasha Romanoff, your girlfriend, was waiting outside S.H.I.E.L.D's headquarters to pick you up.

Nat and you didn't leave on a positive note before you left for the mission.

Slowly, your relationship began to deteriorate before you left for your mission. Gaslighting, manipulation, and arguments were common but, it didn't matter to either of you, you were in love.

That was all that mattered.

Natasha leaned on the hood of her car as she waited for you. Her eyes were fixed on the opening glass doors as she puffed on her cigarette.

That's when you both made eye contact after six months.

Standing up, Natasha threw her cigarette on the ground and waited for you to approach.

Having eventually reached Natasha, you gave her a long-awaited kiss.

As you jumped and wrapped your legs around her waist, she kissed you back almost instantly.

Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough
I don't know why
Keep making me laugh—let's go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime

As it began to rain, Natasha seated you both in the driver's seat as you straddled her.

Several minutes into your make-out session, Natasha pulled her pack of cigarettes from her jacket pocket and pulled away. Your eyes expressed disappointment as you watched Nat take a puff on the cigarette. Not wanting to spoil the moment, you grabbed the cigarette and put it in your mouth. Looking Natasha right into her green eyes, while blowing the smoke from your mouth, you couldn't feel the love that once existed between you two.

Nat rubbed your thighs gently as she asked, "I thought you didn't like smoking seeing it could kill you"

"Might as well. We were born to die anyways." You whispered in her ear. Handing the cigarette back to Nat, you climbed over the console to reach the passenger seat.

Lost, but now I am found
I can see that once I was blind

As you expected, another argument arose on the way home. When the yelling finally subsided, you kept your attention on the window next to you, not daring to say another word.

"Look at me, Y/N."

"Nat, fuck off!"

It seems that Nat was pissed off by your words, as she began to speed up the car. Your gaze catches Nat's determination as she looks forward. The redhead made eye contact with you, but you looked away with a slight feeling of discomfort.

You stayed like that until Nat grabbed your neck to kiss you again, taking both hands off the steering wheel. Not paying any attention to the road ahead.

Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane
Choose your last words, this is the last time
'Cause you and I—we were born to die

You woke up the next morning lying alone on a bed scattered with flowers.

Or so you thought alone.

We were born to die

A moment later, your lover stroked your arm beside you in bed. As you turned your body over to face Nat, you realized she wasn't there. You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion as you got out of bed.

After turning the knob of the door, you were met by a dark hallway outside the bedroom. In your journey around the compound, you haven't seen a single person.

As you continued, there was a door with a bright light shining through. You were drawn to it by your curiosity.

When you opened the door, you were greeted by a powerful white light. Stepping into the light, you felt a weight lift from your shoulders, your face relaxed with a smile.

Having finally found freedom.

Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain

The sounds of a car honking and the impact of a collision were the last thing you remember.

Nat is taking your body away from the burning vehicle, you lifeless in her arms. Your limp body was splattered with blood, some of which dripped on the street. As Nat stared at you, she pushed some strands of hair away from your face and said;

"We were born to die"

She was the one who gave you life, but she was also the one who took it away from you.

At the time of finishing this, it is 3:47 am. I've been writing this for the past 4 hours, but it was fun so...

Go stream The Other Woman by Lana Del Rey because I said so <3

I also have part 2 of the history project partners done but I might redo it because I don't like the plot.
