"Lunch?" Mr. Reed asked glancing down at me.

"Huh?"

"Would you like to go to Lunch with me? Mr. Houton?" he repeated but this the more clearly.

I stayed speechless not knowing what to say as I started up at him.

He wanted to have lunch with me?

But me and Jen we're going to have lunch today but I mean this is Mr. Reed we're talking about, so who's to say he won't get mad after he went out his way to ask?

I glance into Mr. Reed's eyes which looked into mine daring me to say no.

"Um, are you sure?" I queried. Mr. Reed sighed taking a deep in.

"Yes, Owen," he answered saying my name.

Feeling my heart flutter a bit I shyly nodded my head in okay.

"Lemme just-" I raised my phone indicating I had something which Elijah immediately nodded his to allow me to.

"Go ahead,"

Quickly texting Jennifer that I'll be having lunch with Mr.Reed I then placed my phone into my stuffed animal bag which I decided to bring to work today.

I couldn't help but see Elijah's eyes eyeing my poor teddy bag.

"I'll leave it if it's too much-"

"No, it's okay you can bring it, sweetheart," he consoled.

Immediately my cheeks burned at the nickname he called me.

I couldn't help but fidget non-stop since I sitting facing directly right in front of Mr.Reed.

"Breathe, relax, Owen," he soothed, his voice sounding very sweet and soft.

Closing my eyes for just a minute I took a few slow breaths before looking around.

This restaurant seemed very expensive, I had told Elijah that we should go somewhere else yet he only shook his telling me he'll take care of the bill.

"Good afternoon, may I take you gentlemen's order?" the waitress questioned as she placed the menus into our hands.

Widening my eyes at the price of the food I could only bite my bottom lip in anxiety.
