Nola, and her three beautiful girls, are looking for a fresh start. When they take up temporary residence in her grandparents home in London, she is told the musician living next door is rarely home. To Nola, he sounds like the perfect neighbor.

Luke's parents are going to be here this afternoon. I decided not to tell the girls about them visiting, just in case something happened and it fell through, but thankfully they tested negative and have completed their quarantine.

Helen: What time would you like us to come?
Nola: They nap at 1:00, so maybe while they are napping? Then we can surprise them when they wake up."
Helen: That sounds wonderful. We plan to stay for two days, then we can take all three of them back to our place for the rest of the week to give you a break.
Nola: You have no idea how thankful I am. I really need to get the girls room finished.
Helen: And you deserve a break, too.
Nola: I'm not going to lie. It will be very nice.
Helen: Alright. Well, we will see you in a couple hours.
Nola: ☺️

I thought about telling Harry about my break from the girls but ultimately ended up deciding that I might need some of that time just for myself, and if he doesn't know about it, he can't interrupt it.
"Mama, I'm not tired." Lottie argues, as I lay her down for her nap. Hattie and Mia are both already zonked out, but of course, one of them had to fight with me today. My phone buzzes in my back pocket and I huff, knowing it's probably Helen.
"Charlotte, you don't have to sleep, but you have to do quiet time. I'll be back up in an hour. DO NOT wake your sister," I warn and she rolls back over to snuggle her pile of stuffies. I close the door and pull my cell phone out of the back pocket in my jeans and open my messages.

Helen: Be there in ten minutes.
Nola: The door is unlocked.

That was four minutes ago. Great. I get a total of six minutes to pee and clean up any shrapnel that got unorganized this morning. I make a quick loop around the main floor, tidying what I can, but end up interrupted by a knock at the door. I guess it is good enough. If I can just keep them entertained for the next two days, I get a break after that.
