Cassian x Reader

“You’re staring again sweetheart.” Cassian said , making Y/N's face heat up immediately, making her turn away from him in attempts to hide a small smile. Her reaction made Cassian laugh, that she admired the man she had fallen in love with countless of times while he gently reached over and turned her face back to take a better look at her. His smile was so warm and contagious that it could make a grumpy man smile as well, his pearly white  teeth and beautiful dimples on display.

"Hello, love." said Cassian with a smooth, flirty voice, flustering the woman even more.

“Hello” Y/N's reply was so soft and precious he couldn’t help but bring her face even closer to his so he could lay a loving kiss on her pink lips. She practically melted into him, wishing he would never let her go. In that moment, in his eyes, she was even more magnificent than the sunset that was starting to color the sky.

"You're so beautiful, my love. Sometimes I can't keep my eyes off of you." Cassian added.

“Flatterer” . Y/N teased with a light laugh, making Cassian shake his head.Putting his hands on Y/N's waist he gently pulled her closer to him, making her sit on his lap . The woman reached up and put her hand on his face, gently stroking over his rough cheek before running her fingers along his jaw and down his neck and then his back, close to where his wings were separating from his back.

"What are you trying to start, beautiful." He asked, nuzzling his nose in her neck, breathing in the sweet aroma of one of the many fragrances she liked to use.
"Nothing in particular,Cass. I'm just trying to soak in this moment as much as possible and admire the beautiful man who's holding me in his embrace." Y/N answered. She put her hand around his neck, laying another gentle kiss on his lips.

It's been a while since the two had gotten any time to spend alone. Cassian was too busy, given the fact that there was newly found tension between some of the courts and the situation needed to be taken care of with caution.

Not long ago Y/N had decided that she no longer wanted to spend her days at home, waiting for her mate and so she announced that she would like to become a healer. And so, after speaking with the woman who had inspired her to take the path of becoming a healer, Y/N found herself becoming more and more infatuated with the job Madja did every day. The old woman was delighted to learn that such a young soul was interested in helping others and she was more than accepting to teach Y/N everything she had ever learned.

"I'm sorry I've been too busy to spend more time with you, love. I'm happy that we finally have the chance to enjoy a day together, just the two of us." Cassian said, pushing a hair strand behind Y/N's ear to take an even better look at her beautiful face.

"I'm not angry, Cass. I understand that sometimes politics need time and caution. And also, it's not as if I'm at home all day, moping and waiting for you to come back. Now I have a job to do myself and I'm more than happy with it." Y/N replied as a big smile found its way on her face.

"If you're happy then I'm happy as well." Answered Cassian.

"I've really missed your smile, love.  I used to see you every morning next to me, but now you're gone and I can't enjoy it every single morning." Y/N added.

"Is that so?" Cassian raised an eyebrow at her statement. The smile in question appearing once again.

"Yeah" she replied , "and your beautiful dimples, your deep eyes that look endless every time I look at them, your beautiful raven hair that I adore so much ever since we met." She continued with her list, stroking Cassian's cheek meanwhile.

The man couldn't help but feel a flutter deep inside his chest. It's been quite some time since someone last said they liked a part of him, and here was Y/N now, reciting almost an entire list of what she liked and missed about him.
"It's been a while..." He started, but stopped mid sentence, not wanting to ruin the mood.

"It been a while since what, Cass?" She asked, noticing the way his expression and tone changed.

"Since someone said they liked something about me or that they missed me. I'm not used to hearing such nice things about myself from others, them seeing me in a different way than just a cold hearted soldier." He explained.

"Well then, it seems like I have to keep reminding you how much I love everything about you every chance I get." Y/N said. "You always tell me how beautiful I am and how  much you love me. It's my turn to make you feel special, Cass."

“I love you.” He said as a faint blush found its way on his neck and cheeks, Y/N leaned before gently nudging his nose with her, kissing him gently “Thank you. For seeing the real me. I love you ”

"There's nothing to thank me for,Cass. I couldn't love anyone else more than I love you."
