Chapter 47 Confession Period

Vincent's POV

Today I wanted to make everything right, I just wanted to propose to Cassandra and take our relationship to the next level. I know we both we wrong, we both were careless but I can't wait to make her mine. Tonight we had a party to attend thrown by Nick, it was like a small get to gather with close family only. After that, I wanted to spend the evening with her.

I was currently in the office looking through some papers, I was trying to concentrate on it but I was too drawn to what may go wrong today, I did once reject her, and trashed her hope, what if she did the same to me today? What if she doesn't agree?

I was worried a lot, I could hardly concentrate on any meeting also, and the questions in my mind were endless, ending with What if she said she couldn't do it? But what will she even do, she can't leave me either, I would never divorce her, yes that's the best thing about the entire ordeal. I could never see her with another man, nor can I stand now, when she is mine.

Finally, when it was 4 pm I took my suit jacket and moved to my car when the driver was driving, I just remembered how badly I hurt her...

I was going out with Chole and Luke for a movie when I saw my girl walking towards me, I saw her from the door threshold only, but she still didn't notice me, she was busy thinking about something. She was looking like a fucking vixen, she was soo cute in that dress, that I just wanted to be the one to peel that dress from her body. Keep the thoughts aside, thinking she is my best friend's sister, note the sarcasm, With a full-spread smile, I walk towards her and embrace her in a hug.

When I asked her what was the matter, she said she wanted to meet me, I was curious, so to tease her I asked if it was about us, and she gave a very vague reply saying everything, does that mean she likes me or something? At various instances she did show some interest in me, it was me who always suppressed my feelings for her, not to hurt Aiden, but I can't stop it any more, moreover, she is coming to Harvard. So Aiden can shove his rule up his ass.

She is too innocent for me at times, I feel but looking at her recording breaking history with men, I surely can't say that, when I told her to keep my snack ready, I referred to her, but as usual, she dodges the comment. Finally, I kiss her forehead and move to Chole's house.

It was 6 pm now, and I went to Knight's mansion, to drop off Aiden, who for some reason was super drunk after he fought with Chole, reasons unknown as they both won't tell anyone else. I dropped him on his bed and was about to make my way towards the exit when I got a glimpse of a girl in a red dress near the pool from Aiden's balcony, I thought it was Cassandra, as she was the only girl in the house and moreover, she was wearing red, I know it can be Hazel as well but the choice of dress was too bold for her, I was not confident as I dint see her face, but I wanted to go down and confirm. Moreover, if she is here, then we both can go to the estate together.

As I was near the pool entrance I saw Hazel falling into the pool backwards like someone pushed her, I saw who was the culprit to find the red-dressed vixen running away. I wanted to confront Cassy but Hazel was shouting for help, she was nearly drowning, so without thinking I jumped behind her, and after a lot of struggle, I pulled her up. By now the entire family was present there and were worried for her, except Cassey and Aiden.

I pulled her out with me and asked her how she fell, with hard breaths she said, "I re... red dress.... cass... and....andra..." and she fainted. They all rushed her to the hospital, I wanted to go but before that confronting Cassandra was needed. So went in the same direction I saw her going last.
