The battle of star court mall had ended with a cost. Billy Hargrove would be killed that night.
Y/n POV
The battle had ended, and firefighters and paramedics showed up. I was brought to one of the ambulances because I was hurt a little bit "just sit here for a while and wait for someone to come get you ok" he said I nodded my head, and he walked off. I sat there for a minute and then got up. I looked around and saw Max sitting alone.
I slowly made me way over to her and said, "is that seat taken?" I said she looked over at me and smiled "no not at all" she said scooting over a little bit. I walked over and sat down "are you alright?" I asked. She didn't respond but shook her head yes "babe I know you're not" I said, "Yeah but have you seen yourself" she said "Yeah but I'll be fine you just watched your stepbrother well you know" I said. Her eyes started to water, and I hugged her "Hey, hey it's ok" I said she hugged me back and started to cry. I held her and was rubbing her back and I spoke up "You know if you ever need you can come to my house" I said. She looked up and me and said "Really" I looked back into her eyes and said "Yes, and it doesn't matter what time of day or night. Even if I'm asleep just come in and get in bed with me or just do whatever I won't care" I said "Ok thank you" she said, and we went back into silence and waited
TIME SKIP
It was a few days after the incident Max had to move to a new house. Her stepdad left them because Billy died. I sat on my bed and looked at a photo of Max and I, I smiled looking at all the memories I've had over the years and ones with my girlfriend. I turned off the light and got into bed and drifted off to sleep
Max POV
I look around my room and I hear yelling. I turn over and try to black out, but it becomes too much I get up and jump out my window, I make my way down the street until I see Y/n house 'should I actually go in' I thought to myself. I decided to keep going and go to her window, I slowly open the window and got in. I looked around and saw y/n sleeping I walked over to her and looked at her for a minute before I decided to get into bed.
Y/n POV
I started to feel something, and I woke up "hello?" I asked, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up" Max said "No, no don't be sorry come here" I said pulling her to lay down with me "hey" I said "Hey" she replied "Everything ok?" I asked "yeah my mom and stepdad were fighting again" she said "I'm sorry" I said holding her tighter. We lied there for a few more minutes than she spoke up "What did I do to deserve you" I woke myself up and said, "nothing you just found a helpless romantic" I said with sleep obviously in my voice "you can go back to bed if you want" she said sounding sad "No I want to stay up and talk to you" I said
"No go to sleep we can talk tomorrow" she said "as long as you go to sleep to ok, don't stay up to long" I said smiling at her. A few minutes later I fell asleep about half and hour later Max did fall asleep
